Hi, tested in 4.1.3 and it works. Also wrks witht he P version. But when firing guns in the 'P" version it does not stay steady when firing.

I am running BAT 4.2, after installing the latest Beta+ version , I can see the new cockpit, very nice work !  However, as soon as I switch to external view the game freezes. I have to kill the game process to return to desktop. I do not have this issue with the BAT4.2 Mi-24 and the old cockpit. Any idea how to solve this issue ?

Only thing I can think of is the HR mod; do you have that installed via JGSME; the true resolution mod is a must have. I think you can get it here and try that. Thats for high resolution skins

Worked for me. Have you installed any mods in your #JTW folder? If so you might have a file conflict.

I have never come across a definition of a stock skin in French in the Log file before

Hello everyone,

I have spent hours to solve the issue, nope. I have installed all the required mods, Pilot view with new cockpit is OK, as soon as switched to external view the game freezes.
The BAT 4.2 Mi-24V does not have not this issue. Sadly, If I rename the mod folder to have BAT 4.2 Classes files loaded first, I loose the new cockpit.... I give up. Sorry

Your BAT install must be FUBARed. That's the only thing I can think of.

Not sure if the log helps or not but hopefully someone looking in can make some sense of it. ;)

First test I had deactivated my existing version but there was a CTD, reinstated the older version
and all was well until the freeze.  Tried both versions, same for each.

Hi Everyone,

Finally I found what causes the issue. Nothing to do with other mods and classes, but a problem of file size (too big) for mi24_main_rotor_ext_main.waw located in the samples folder. By reducing its size from 8.3mo to 1.8 Mo (using Audacity Utility) I have been able to switch forth and back to external view without freezing. No impact on the rotor external sound quality...

Judging by this fragment, there are minor errors associated with the presence of a stick2 and a compass1 in the cockpit class, but the lack of it in a 3D cockpit.
