Next step will be support vehicles integration:
Command point
Transformer vehicle
Generator vehicle x3

In next step after that:
Surveillance radar (P-12 for start, but I plan it to be compatible with P-18, 30 and 35 as well)
Surveillance radar system vehicle

And finally height-finder and IFF radar - although P-12 did already have an IFF function, to my knowledge.

Support vehicles now active and working perfectly. Might add sounds to them, for effect lol.

Meanwhile working on the P-12 radar.
The ZiL it's on is such a cute little truck next to the GAZ (western's model) :P

EDIT: it's 15 minutes after midnight and I got all the basic parts of the 3D model exported and spinning; now I just need to figure out how to simulate the actual radar part.

Recorded the moving radar and the site working as intended. (Yes I'm using the same mission file as the previous screenshots.)
I tried testing the probability of hit and probability of kill. I am quite satisfied, but I might make the missile a bit more accurate. Of course, actively trying to evade the missile improves your chances of survival, as well as flying on a tangential course.

I've figured out why there were those A-7 files...

I managed to accidentally merge the folders for SAM mod and the Vought pack.. it shouldn't cause trouble until I release a cleaned up folder; that said, it does have an updated flight model file for those ;) you can use it if you want.

As you might have noticed, the SAM site generates a lot of debug log lines. I will now go ahead and purge majority of those, this will significantly improve performance. For the next release I will also create a short manual. All I am missing now from basic functionality is IFF. For now, there is a risk of the SAM site engaging own aircraft when using the P-12 radar.

EDIT: Yes, after all the basic functionality is created and released, I'll remodel the SNR-75, do electronic warfare, and clone the assets to create also the older systems, such as SA-75 and S-75 in addition to current S-75M.

Hello Koty
Thank you for your work.
I have a question about the radars.
Have you thought about a mod, if of course it is possible to do it, that in conjunction with the EA-6 Prowler would block the launch of ground-to-air missiles?
best regards

;)

And no, it's not as simple as "blocking the launch". It's roughly the same as taking a spotlight and aiming it at someone in dark. You blind them. And how much you blind them depends on a lot of parameters. Both on the radar end and the jammer end. I already have a working API for jamming (blinding the radar), as you can see here:

I'll just need to create an AI that reacts to it appropriately. Also create chaff effects.
(Mind you, I am saying this upright, it is highly unlikely I'll release the MiG-23 mod, at least anytime soon. It uses a lot of custom API's and even edits of western's engine mod - which I'll first need to polish before releasing.)

Greetings. Awesome  work. That Strela 1M is a missile firing monster. I tried a new scramble mission  Flying a MiG-17. That thing took out two F-4E Fighters before I cleared the runway. This was the first time I saw aircraft using chaff and flares like snow in winter.  I landed out of ammo and no missiles and observed the action from the ground. Playing the opposing side I got taken out 4 out of nine times. the other mods worked as well. This works better then the original Sams. Thanks for your time and effort. Great work.  Using 4.12 Maxed out Ram and graphics card.

IFF: Works
Active jamming: Works
I'll just have to fix a few parameters in the calculation.

This is me in EA-6B flying through the SAM's engagement envelope without it managing to launch even once. It works as stand off jamming too. Meaning you can effectively hide a friendly target if its in roughly the same direction as you.  8) I highly suggest you look up how to provide jamming support.
