Does DBW 1916 still work on steam copy?

Hello, I'm currently trying to install the DBW 1916 mod to a stock steam version of Il-2 1946. I'm not quite sure if the version is right since I'm using the one stop install one with 19 parts. Will it work with my current version or do I have to downgrade? If so, please explain how I can downgrade to a more suitable version. Also, please do tell me what it means when it says "install to game". Does it mean by the game's folder in the steam common folder? Thanks in advance!
