I've been having trouble keeping various aircraft straight and level during level bombing runs. First I tried level stabilizer, but that the aircraft keeps changing altitude or yaw. So turned off level stabilizer and tried to use trim for the elevators and ailerons, with a bit of throttle control for certain engines. But that doesn't seem to be doing the trick either. What am I doing wrong?

horizontal stabilizer (H by default I think) must keep any aircraft level and definitely does so, unless at the extreme ends where speed is just not enough to keep the plane afloat or some such.

trimming is fickle business but of course the "hardcore way" to do it and also works.

With the little info you give there's no way to tell what you are doing wrong.

You can try to trim the acft for a shallow climb prior to engage level stabilizer. Used to work back in the days when I iused to fly bombers.
