I cannot use a drag chute with these planes.

Is there supposed to be one?

funny mental image;)

by the way, by now I found it the most pleasurable experience to set "Realistic Landings" to OFF when operating from a carrier. Otherwise the whole gear damage thing is too much of a hassle for me

This difficulty setting basically makes your gear indestructible is all...

F-14 + catapult launch problem will be tried by Engine mod catapult rework.

Perhaps no need to edit on F-14.

HI

I have had no problems with catapult launches from the Nimitz or the French Carriers.Realistic settings.
1) Extend wings
2)full flaps down
3) Slight trim up
3)Full afterburner 110%
4) Activate catapult and pulling back on stick( Failure to get nose up quickly results in nose gear damage)

Load: 100% fuel 2  tanks, 4 x AIM 9L ,4 x AIM7M

Carriers at 32 kph no wind.

Tested with AI no problems. Adjust catapult power in STD folder.

Hope this helps.

Mick.

I have installed everything correctly, but I am getting 30% CTD when loading in quick mission. Is there anything that could fix this?

Tell what base game modpack you are using and you need to post a log.

A cool plane, iconic and earworming with a Kenny Loggins
tune. Can't get it out of my head.
Thanks for the work on this

Wonderful job. Flying nice on CUP 4.12.2 Jet Age, alongside Mirages, A-4s, F-4s, B-52s, Sukhois, Migs, A-6s...

Lots of kudos for the creators. Cheers.
