B.A.T. Command & Control Features Missing
« on: February 27, 2019, 03:18:28 AM »

Hello!

Maybe I am mistaken or it is my faulty install, but I think that some features of C&C mod are missing in B.A.T. Actually not the objects, but lines in stationary.ini. If I add the missing lines the objects appear in game and work without problem.

So for me it is not a problem to add the missing lines, but for an average user it can be a problem. And personally I am planning to use some of the missing objects in my upcoming Mi-24 campaigns.

So is there any particular reason why some of the objects are removed?

this is also something only Monty would know... historical.

But I don't know of any obvious reason tbh. So, you are a modder member, if you're able to add these entries and test them to get positive results that's something.
However, it's still not telling anything on any adverse effects or conflicts these omitted features may have that you don't see on the surface.

I think I remember that there was a big mess on the Java side of the C&C mod prior to BAT 3.something, and I've reworked that whole part in BAT 3.2 or so.
Essentially I'd say "if it works, why not use it?".

Yeah, I am frequently using your updated version at SVN as an example for my works.

That is one of the reasons why I am asking why some of the features are missing.

:D  I think you make someone happy with this comment.

You could send me the lines you are modifying and if you tested them to be working, I'd insert them back into 3.6 BAT. Then you can post your missions for a compatible BAT pack.

That require some extensive testing. Later I'll look at this matter more closely and precisely.
