Hey everyone! What would you think about having the standard IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 "Enemy Aircraft Destroyed" message replaced with "Scratch one?!" I just think that scratch one is way more authentic than "Enemy Aircraft Destroyed."
I was also thinking about having the German Luftwaffe pilots' message "Achtung Jak" " auf (zwei) Uhr." Replaced with the German generic word for enemy aircraft, Feind. The "Achtung Jak!" message seems to be uttered every time fighters are encountered by AI pilots flying for Germany and human pilots.
I just think that it's rather silly to have "Achtung Jak" be say every time there are enemy fighters encountered, when there are no Russian/Soviet aircraft in sight, at least in France, anyway. Just American, and British/Commonwealth fighters in the West. Why does the German pilot utter "Achtung Jak!" every time an enemy fighter is sighted, regardless if it's a Yak series or Mikoyan/other Soviet fighter plane series? Even if it's an American or British plane, he still shouts "ACHTUNG!" "JAK!" I just think that's a little ridiculous.
And if a friendly aircraft is shot down by another friendly (ie fratricide/friendly fire) aircraft, then there should be a message that says "Whose side are you on?" Same with other friendly targets attacked by a friendly on the same side.
I just think that this would compliment it. I just think that IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 just feels so plain and boring with these messages, just my opinion.
The German pilots shout "Absprung!" "Absprung!" instead of "Spring ab!"
What about modifications to the German radio dialogue?
