Hi JonRedcorn!

BAT on version 3.5 has all the stock maps present.
BAT has 400 maps and nearly 7000 objects to feed them. So maybe you want to look before starting to move stuff from vp into it. 8)
Bat has 400 ww2 era maps? I didn't see them.

Take into account summer/spring/autumn/winter/other variants. Not all maps as readily available in the Quick Mission Builder. Open the Full Mission Builder and you will have them all there.

BAT can have 5000 objects and maps and all this but if there's nothing the average user can do with any of it then it's all kind of pointless.

Your concern is legit, but it is not fair.

Mods and Modpacks are created and shared unselfishly and free of charge. One modder creates an object, another a ship. Some like working on effects and sounds, groups of modders work on aircraft and maps. Then there are the dedicated fleet of campaign/mission designers. A Modpack is 'just' a sandbox that includes whatever the Modpack creator(s) deem appropriate from the available catalogue. Having this understood, who is to blame for the lack of any content?

I am not a mission designer and don't ever plan on becoming one.

Why not? You have the tool box, now it is up to you. IL-2 is what it is today because of people's desire to create and share their work with others.

If somebody could post a dgenerror.log and a log.lst we can take a look and get those dgen campaigns working in BAT. Maybe it's a real easy fix. Probably missing map/plane/weapon.

Where are those files located? I would be willing to help. I don't know what exactly needs to be done but getting those dgen campaigns working in BAT would probably end up with me having a heart attack from the awesomeness.

I had tried just moving the dgen folder over but I always end up getting a beep sound and they usually don't work.

I'd also like to add that I am not new to enjoying mods, and I appreciate every single person here who mods and helps out. You guys are the true heros of this game as without you it'd be dead long ago. Modders never get the recognition they deserve sadly. But those of us out here that enjoy your work certainly do appreciate each and every one of you. From the smallest mod to the massive ones, the mission makers, the people still posting and helping out on here, I thank all of you. Modding games has always been a part of my life, my childhood, and now still. Again thank you all for your continued hard work.

that's a bit of a contradiction here.
I would search these files in windows and I'd probably start in the Il-2 main directory.....  8)

BAT contains a lot of loadout mods for all kinds of stock aircraft. This means, that some (many) aircraft are not compatible anymore with stock DGen as it still expects the stock loadouts that don't exist in BAT.
So it's a try and error story here.

Windows 10 search is completely broken, so that's a no go. I never alluded to being informed on how to mod and edit files in il2. Modding doesn't exactly translate from one game to another...
