As there are not many squadrons I would recommend Squadron Density set as Ful.

Tried this setting and by the way DCG settings to "max" and the campaign runs fine! Nice map and campaign.
BTW I suggest choosing medium/long distances (in my first try I choose short distances and all the missions were flying around defending the same base )
