New 2019 WW1 Albatros D.II Late version

ALL of the NEW 2019 fixes are included in this package + new Skins + alot more good stuff.

ABOUT THE SKINS

All of these new skins are historical and were researched for the correct colors and markings
from historical books, photo resources, internet information and forums which specialize in WW1 aviation.
I tried my best to cross reference the information from many sources to paint the exact markings
as were used on some of the these aircraft, but I could also be wrong, as new information may
be discovered later on.

Included are ALL my skins. -- Overwrite all the old skins.

AlbatrosDI = 24 skins
AlbatrosDIIEarly = 78 skins
AlbatrosDIILate = 31 skins

I have found new photo sources and information about some aircraft, so I have now made some
changes to some skins , to better match the real aircraft - some skins are now looking diferent. 

There are still a few skins left to paint and I will post them later in the near future for
you to use them.

Now I will be concentrating my time and doing research on the Albatros D.III and D.Va skins.
There will also be more new skins for the Fokker E.III and DR.I aircraft in the near future !
So expect to have the complete collection for all aircraft ever built and flown

This is ONLY for the Albatros D.II Late version fighter aircraft.

Albatros D.II Late version now features...
- New skin-template fixes and repainted from previous templates. (ALL Previous skins are NOW Obsolete)
ALL of my old skins are now gone and I have removed my download links to them. This Mod uses all new skins.
All new skins are historical using information from the internet, books, photo sources and forums specializing in WW1 aviation.
- Also features new re-textures for ALL other needed skins including new cockpit re-textures.  More details ALL around.
- Each airplane now has a new default Pilot skin with WW1 clothing. This version includes a covered face with a scarf, just like
what the real WW1 pilots would have used.
- Some of the previous skins are also included if people wish to revert back to original cockpit skins.
- Also features a new type of compass face introduced into some German aircraft.

I think I painted skins for all the Albatros D.I, D.II early and D.II late versions known from books 
But there may be a few more left to paint.  Rare WW1 photos always show up on E-Bay!

These skins will make great targets. They are all flying wooden buckets!

If you find a problem and the airplane does not show in your game from my previous download,
This is the simple fix...

Open in your game folder.... IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\#DBW_1916\AIRCRAFT_Albatros_DII_late_new\3do\Plane\AlbatrosDIILate
and
look for the file named "Pilot1". Open it using NOTEPAD.

Then add the following line to where you see the pilot skin....  TextureName Pilot_AlbatrosD2Late.tga

The new download has been fixed and updated ,
but maybe 3 people have already downloaded the previous package.
I forgot to add the proper written word "Pilot_AlbatrosD2Late.tga"  Sorry guys

Just the thing for Spring 1917 onwards where late D IIs, and early D IIIs are replacing early D II. Glad you fixed the error. I'll change some of the skins in a dogfight to some of these ones.

I'm glad I did these Albatros versions for IL-2!

Perhaps you could make a new skin for the side radiator as well, so it blends better with the rest of the skin? 
I did the best I could but I'm no skinner....

You did more than great on that new radiator and all the other nice new upgrades  Many thanks VonOben.

I will not touch the skin you created for the Radiators, it is perfect. The only reason you sometimes see it being
too dark or too light in color is because of the in-game sun and the shine it effects certain 3d-objects in the game.
It looks a certain way when you twist the airplane around in the sky, or when the sun shines on it from a certain angle.

The only way to make it less shiny or less dark is to change some light parameters from the files which
use this particular skin.
I have not done any changes to these values as they were written. But I can always try to write in some new
values and test them. Perhaps I will be able to discover a new and more harmonious looking light shine on them.
But the skin I will not re-paint. It has the perfect coloring and effects on it.
