I just patched my game to 4.2.3, and suddenly whenever I look in cockpit view and look at the wings I see this on the wing roots!



I don't think anything else is affected, she still flies just fine and looks normal in the third person view, but I'm curious about what exactly is causing this.

There is a 3D problem here which apparently for some reason slipped through a quite long time ago?

Or - which seems more likely - the fact that this plane seems to have no dedicated own cockpit, but only rides on some other 3d and class, makes it vulnerable for updates that happen elsewhere. I may have fixed a wing 3d issue in that other plane where the cockpit really belongs to and now we have a FUBAR here... It's not really the most clever way to mod this to begin with.

I 'll post a fix in a bit, this should be disentangled.

PS: and the Spitfire FM it uses is also maybe not the best possible choice. I'll do something about that as well while on it.

Here's a fix for BAT:

- new dedicated cockpit class
- with dedicated cockpit hier.him
- new FM with a Wright R-1820 Cyclone instead of the Spitfire Merlin (Top speed now about 205 knots / 380 km/h)
- new USN default skin

This will of course go into the next BAT update, so only valid for BAT 4.2.3
