Hello Mace, I must say that it looks really great to me, the possibility of minesweeping or using them in any other way is something I have been waiting for a long time, unfortunately so far we do not have any airplanes in Sturmovik that can perform this function.

Maybe it is too early to ask , but apart from the BV-138 which you have adapted for this function, will other airplanes also be able to minesweeping?

AFAIK only the Ju-52 received a degaussing ring as the one shown on the BV-138...
On the Allied side, Wellington bombers were used for the purpose of I removed correctly...

That LSO feature looks great-will this work on WW2 Carriers too? Or put differently..will it only work with jetwar or can it be integrated into WAW for example too?

Piotrek1 the Influence Mine (sea or land) will work with any aircraft in IL2. Mine detonation is based on any IL2 aircraft being lower than 25m (80ft) above the sea or land and within 100m (330ft) of the explosive device. I used the excellent BV-138 because it had a visible EM coil.

Griffon_301 the Landing Assistance mod will work with any IL2 aircraft carrier, including WW2 carriers. Jetwar mod not needed, so this LSO mod can be integrated into WAW.

@Mace - woww, thats amazing! a working LSO thingie was one of the only things missing for carrier ops in IL2; the other missing thingie is also solved, but not for 4.12.2 sadly (night lighting of the decks and/or a light beacon to spot the carrier, all on request via radio)
@Piotrek1 - great stuff - I did not know about the LeO being equipped with this kind of degaussing equipment too; the Ju-52s equipped a unit called Minensuchgruppe Mausi and were very active in that guise....

Yes, it was this unit that served on almost all the European waters,
btw, one Staffel had a very interesting emblem: a bird holding a mine in its claws, and on another emblem from another Staffel was the devil on a mine .
