Xbox one controller
« on: August 12, 2019, 08:23:17 AM »

Hey all!

I've been wondering, is there a definite solution for playing il2 (BAT) with a Xbox One controller? I also use the mouse and keyboard, but i was wondering if my controller can act as the joystick.

Try doing some research and use Google a bit more efficiently, also post efficiently.

What OS are you using? What drivers/apps have you used (if any) to try to get it working?

I've had friends use their PS3/PS4 controllers on Win 10 and it's worked fine and they used to fly with it. So it's all a matter of what you've done or what your problems are so far.

Aah, sorry. Been posting this on my phone.

I am currently on Windows 10 and somehow natively the controller does not get recognized. I also found some youtube videos but they dont work for me because of using windows 10. I also do not know which mapping program to use and which keys are best to set to a controller (like flaps, gear etc.)

I'd like to be of assistance as well,

I use an Xbox One controller, from what I understand from the guys who refitted my PC recently with Windows 10 the controller is only compatible with that version of Windows, as it runs off the Bluetooth that 10 has...originally I had Windows 7 and I bought the controller and it didn't work...because it wasn't compatible with the OS at the time, with the refit I did to my PC in June this year I've been using an Xbox One controller ever since!

Again it's all down to what OS you're using and if your PC has the ability to use Bluetooth devices....if it's USB you're using it should be automatic.  8)

Hope this helps..

Yeah, a Win 7 user's best bet is SCP toolkit for PS3/PS4 controllers, glad you could step in and help out Ace; I'm not on Win 10 yet, and am enjoying my last few moments with it :')

Thanks for your input Ace 8)

Get a USB wireless Xbox 360 controller adapter.  Mine cost $13 on ebay.  Works fine with Win10.  I use it to play other PC games, not flight sims, as I have joysticks.
