Ever wanted to try those beautiful and strange Japanese late-war designs that never made it to action? Well, this is your chance:
I have made a pack with
SEVEN "What-if" campaigns for the following Japanese aircraft types, that were never used in action, but might have, had the war dragged on into 1946:
* The Mitsubishi Ki-83 Heavy fighter
* The Nakajima Ki-87-I High altitude interceptor
NEW!* The Rikugun Ki-93 Heavy fighter
* The Tachikawa Ki-94-II High altitude interceptor
* The Nakajima "Kikka" Jet interceptor
* The Mitsubishi J4M "Senden" Interceptor
* The Kyushu J7W "Shinden"Short range interceptor
These seven campaigns are essentially variations of a single theme, but there is a random factor in all of them: the opposition WILL vary, as will the weather and the skill of your enemies. If replaying a single mission it will not always be the same. Please note that your enemies have "1946"-style aircraft as well. So be prepared to meet a number of new enemy designs.
You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=862To play these campaigns you need BAT 4.1.2.
The premise is that when Nazi-Germany is defeated in May 1945, fighting breaks out in Europe between the Western Allies and the Soviet Union, distracting the war effort of the United States against Japan in the Pacific. At the same time the Manhattan project gets delayed. All this means that Imperial Japan gets a much needed respite, which she uses to abandon many of her hard-defended gains, and to concentrate her meagre resources on defending the Home Islands against an inevitable US invasion in 1946 - "Operation Downfall". This also means that several new and modern Japanese aircraft types will reach production and become operational. In these campaigns you get a chance to try them out in real aerial combat.
