The Hs-126 mod actually has a faulty flight model where the plane's drag is set to zero.
We've got a flight model where this has been fixed in UP3.
If anyone's still maintaining this mod, just drop me a line if you need help to fix this issue.

Hello Mike, for the reasons outlined in the thread I am not really in a position to do anything further to the mod except maybe change any hooks or 3d that might be amiss, You or Dreamk are the two able to do anything with the java of this particular version. ;)

Is there any chance you could please provide a link to the version you have fixed yourself already and replace the one I added into the first post, saves any further messing about and would provide the users with a fully completed aircraft for their game?

Take care.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

In BAT there also as been a fix but I think the versions differ.
The old FM had a drag value of 0.

Mike, if can you upload here this FM from UP3, I¨ll be back to my regular PC in a couple of weeks and I¨ll then modify the java in accordance.

Hello guys, I know it has been some time since this had its last update but finally I am going
to do something that has been on the back burner for far too long, fix the damage model. :o

The current model uses another aircraft as its base and so has retained the previous damage parts from that,
I had started to look at the damage model after sorting the weapons but life issues got in the way and this was
left gathering dust on the H.D.

So far I have got the first German type using the D1 and D2 damage model parts actually from the Hs-126, replacing what
was there before from the previous model that the Henshel was built on, we can see the damage decals appearing and the
parts once separated after a explosion belong to the Henshel, this has to be done for each of the models and I need to be
careful as some things differ so I cannot just do one and chuck those parts into the other folders:

Doing that part is relatively straight forward as we just replicate the existing Henshel parts, however, the
big problem comes with the caps that are also using parts from the earlier aircraft:

These will have to be made, even simple aerofoil parts to cover the existing holes with a few spars will take
time to make and map to the existing template, there will also need to be a new damaged prop as well, anyway,
I had already started this so will take a look at it over the next few weeks or so to see what I can fabricate. ;)

I have already made a start, more madness and mayhem ahead. :P

Okay then, away we go, all the parts are in the 3d program, and have been cloned to make the caps.

Not sure how much I will detail this, I have made a blanking piece to fit over each wing end because the
parts have no internal skin, not going there it will mean doing all the parts, let's see how it develops though,
who knows as I get going just what will happen or how long it will take:

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello again guys, the first cap is now done, WingLIn. ;)

For the caps I will give the part a inner skin, however, trying to do that for all the main wings would
need space on the texture so I will just put a cap on the end of each wing so you cannot see through
it when it separates under damage, at least that is the plan at the moment:

There we go, I have made a proper start, no going back now. :D

Take care and be safe.

Hi Mission Bug,

I for one am really appreciative and happy that you are having a go at this.
As you know I have respect for this aircraft and its history.

Regardless of results , I thank you for this aircraft , and all the work
you have put into it.

Very Sincerely,

Kopfdorfer

Hello Kopfdorfer, hope I get it as you want it, this has developed over a very long time and so I would finally like to finish off a project that has been far too long overdue. ;)

The weapons options and spats took up so much time originally and then needed further changes once Dreamk sent his update to me that by the time I made a start on the damage model ill health intervened and much of what I used to do was put aside, nowadays I only really tinker with 3d as I had to give up on making slots and such as it just became too difficult to try and manage various projects while dealing with pain, I still struggle but do things in small time slots now so I cannot give a due date on this.

There is another version by 101 that I think is a better model, however, it came late to the party and much had been done to Edlor's offering already when it appeared so even though I did things with it this version has the most variety of weapons, skins and types so I will persevere and get it done, put it to bed.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello again guys, managed to get a bit done yesterday and added some paint today. 8)

left and right inner, left mid and about to start right mid:

The outer skins of the damage cap are already skinned but the cloned and flipped inner
will need a new space on the texture:

Right mid done:

Getting a little crowded on the template, added a end cap for the outer end of the mid, this
should allow me to cover most see through areas now once the damage caps activate, if
any more are needed they can be made or taken from those already made for the caps:

Rubbing away the excess from the extracted mapping texture to see where I need to add
extra colour for the internal parts of the damage caps:

The final look of what I have constructed so far, I know, I am not a great artist but you get
the idea of how it will look:

The Black areas could actually be cut out with a Alpha Channel so you can see into there,
not sure yet if I will do that though. ;)

Next up outer wing caps, maybe make a start on those tomorrow.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello again guys, for those watching and waiting a few more images of the damage model developing. ;)

The main wing caps are done:

The propeller is said to be wood in my reference book although there are some images of what
appears to be bent blades as well. o_O

I went with wood and so set about trying to replicate that, boolean cuts removed some material
to try and make it look like splintered wood:

The highlighted vertices would be removed:

I tried this with all the blades and spinner together at first, however, I had some issues trying
to sort out where to paint as I capped the whole lot to fix any see through and this left a bit
of a mess when I opened up the mapping so I started again as above but with each blade a
separate item that were joined together once I was happy with things. :D

Each blade was a replication of the other originally so one space on the template did back and front
of all the blades, however, my cutting had produced three different end shapes where the blades were
supposed to have broken off so I had to set them up individually for painting the damage colours:

At this stage I decided to extract what I had made so far and test to see if it worked, letting
the auto take three aircraft over heavy flak confirmed so far so good:

Had to take control myself to test the prop:

Getting there, slowly but surely, I seem to spend all my time in this game trying to break things.

Take care and be safe.

Hello again guys, think I am done at last. :o

The keel cap and keel top:

From underneath:

It was necessary to alter the Co-Commons for the stabilizers:

All the finished parts:

In game to test, the tail cap works:

Not sure why but the tail for two of the versions was just using a shadow, I will hazard a guess it
was to show the tail bomb bay but who put it like that I do not know. o_O

Anyway, it caused difficulties when certain parts of the damage model activated so I cut the hole,
it was necessary to also clone it to make a internal skin and also make some internal frames, unfortunately
it has no cover so is visible when some weapon options are not in use but is as good as I could do:

All the existing skins will now need the damage model colouring adding otherwise you will just
get the background template colour, I am not going to do that for all the skins I have but will
most likely do those I released previously and release along with the template.

I need to clean up the mess I have created now and do some testing then I am done. :D

Take care and be safe.

;D   You're doing a great job Pete! While you're at it, could you take off those ridiculous transverse ridges on the helmets of the two crew members?   ;)
