Very nice, Pete!
Glad you are happy with it so far Dreamk, thank you very much for the help, really appreciated.
Many of the faces that were smoothed I just re-attached but did not actually weld those vertices up again as
I did not want to mess too much with things in case I made them worse, not sure if it is the right way but so far
it does not seem to cause any issues although if you look closely you can see some of the edges where they are
separated.
There was a small area on the starboard side of the rudder that seemed to need some attention, it is only a tiny area,
however, quite noticeable when the light catches it so I eventually decided to add it to the list.
I do like to create work for myself it seems, once the rudder was loaded into gmax I found
the inner face where it attaches to the keel was missing so decided to close that up using a
piece from the keel:
Many of the edges for wings and such are not mapped in the true sense because they are
along the trailing edge of the surfaces they are part of and so just pick up the colour from
the camouflage pattern, this is true also for the rudder and because those areas are so thin
it is not noticeable, however, for this new addition I actually mapped it to the template due
to how wide it is:
ready for testing, I very much doubt it will be right first time but once I am happy with it I
will again again add the necessary Co-Commons that are sadly absent from many parts and
we should be good for posting a another update:
Right, time to make another brew and fire up the game to see what happens.
Take care and be safe.
Wishing you all the very best, Pete.
