The Luftwaffe used many different Nightfighters during WW2 but the most important one was undoubtedly the Bf 110:



"Hunter in the Dark" is a semi-historical, 8-mission static campaign, set in the beginning of 1944. The British Bomber Command are stepping up their deadly night attacks on Germany. You are a Luftwaffe Night Fighter pilot, flying the Messeschmitt Bf 110 G-4 Nightfighter. This campaign is based on Checkyersix's GREAT Command and Control MOD, which will, for the first time, make it possible to actually simulate real WW2 Night Fighter combat, with you receiving directions both from a Ground Controller and from your own on-board Radar operator. A successful intercept depends on you following the directions. Just following the way-points on the map will not be enough.
