i Just have to say
« on: October 22, 2019, 04:47:57 PM »

Well as a (very) older simmer that has used most combat sims you name it may have flown it, I did download IL2 B.A,T. some years ago and was not very impressed with it so moved on.

So why am I here well I have downloaded B.A.T. again and was blown away with it my taste is for DOF and WAW I have only scratched the serface but you guys that put it together it has everything I have been looking for fun and very well made .

At the moment I am enjoying Montys27 DOF 13 Traal by combat just brill thanks.

Just a couple of problems 1917 Richthofen it opens with a blue screen and I have to hard boot the PC only way out something is missing I do not think its a map missing anyway I can live with a few hick ups.

Here's a pic of the screen -

Thanks again to all that contributed to this great sim.

Log file will tell more..

But I'm fairly sure one of the loadouts is incompatible to BAT. Can happen with older campaigns sometimes.
What exact mission?

And you do not have to "reboot" your PC. Just crt+alt+del and kill the game.

Hi Crasher,

BAT grows and evolves but some campaigns have not been updated in long time.

Download the Single Mission Community Packs. Identify (in these packs) the campaign you are playing, copy the missions from the packs to the campaign folder and overwrite the missions. Keep playing the campaign.

Thank you all for the reply's I have been strugling to post the log file it will not let me post a large file and I tried to cut and paste but the paste is grey out.

I can live with what I have, tere is one thing is there a blip key for the WW1 rotary engine like the Camel and DR1 or do you have to shut off the magnetos.

this is happening when im making a mission where i suddenly forgot to put player into an aircraft
( when making coop or single player missions where home base is not needed or used, or possible to have;))

then the game will runs this screen because there is no camera to by followed;)) so it will start to follow the default map position 0meters high somewhere in the middle of the map.

try to open it in fmb and check if theres a mark in the field of "players aircraft"

cheers

Yet another suggestion, Crasher (great name by the way), post the mission file (the one with the .mis extension; be sure and use the Code option if you post it)  and one of us here will fix it for you and tell you what is wrong. It is probably something simple as suggested by the comments above.

Thanks for reply vonofterdingen sorry can not post it I deleted the file in missions all I can say is it was called 1917 RICHTHOFEN I think it was in the BAT install.

At 75 my memory is not so good like I say I am very happy with what I have in the sim more than enough for me it keeps me up at night any way I do not have to get up early in  the mornings  :D  ;D I love retirement.

Any idea about the blip switch ?.

Hi Crasher.

Sadly there is no blip switch. If you turn all your magnetos off the engine will stop completely. The only thing you can do is throttle down quickly and pretend that you are blipping, but it is a poor substitute really.

these particular rotaries (Fokker E as well) can only be handled with magnetos.
