Shinden-Kai, King of 1946?
« on: October 28, 2019, 03:58:09 PM »

DISCLAIMER: The majority of the testing I've done involves the QMB where even jets begin their engagements at a leisurely 300kmh, so I'm not entirely sure what the results would be if the jets went blazing in at full speed against each other.

Nevertheless, most 1946-era jets seem evenly matched against each other (except for the LaGG-3RD; that thing is a sluggish mess). However, there's one that seems to dominate the skies effortlessly: the J7W2 Shinden-Kai. It seems comparable to the A6M Zero when the Japanese first entered WWII; very little armor compared to other aircraft of its time, but it really doesn't matter since it's superior in agility and firepower.

Anyone else observed this?

I have and it's great to see. The Japanese need more representation in flight sims. This thing never really flew so idk if it's accurate or not but I don't think it's to ridiculous to think that it could be a dominating design.
