Oh My God! Population Tools

Well.

If you have tried this autopop program it really sends you around the bend.

It will make you take up a lot of excessive alcohol.

You will not be yourself after playing around  with this program.

Some have been lucky in using others have gone crazy trying to use it.

If you have had any experiences with autopop feel free to discuss them.

Lowfighter seemed to have success with this program he even made an autopop factory area example.

Autopop by (I need a name)

I used autopop extensively while making my North Korea map. It had to be done, as there were just too many towns to cover by hand. I even built the factory areas using autopop. I even used it to make very small villages all over the map. Probably saved me several (thousand?) years of work :)

I used it for my Battle of France map.

It works very well, but to use it you have to first make a set of templates for each of the different ground textures which you want to populate.

The FMB Map builder has a built in utility to remove all buildings which coincide with water, road or rail, but you have to manually remove buildings from bridge approaches.

Long time since I used it.

Does anyone know if there is a new link for Autopop. The one's given no longer work.

Cheers,
