The Best looking Planes
« on: November 19, 2019, 08:50:08 AM »

This was just a random thought, but what does everyone think are the best looking planes? please post a pic of your fav looking planes of all time(unless its one everyone already knows what it looks like) My Two favorites are the Spitfire and the Hawker Hunter, classic examples of a streamlined and almost seamless form

Hands down, it has to be the Hunter next to the Sabre and the Starfighter.

Of course applies to jets:

The best looking jet:

That just two Startfighters side by side in close formation, with loose wings.

I absolutely agree with you Mike and bomberkiller. The Starfighter is indeed a beautiful aircraft and #2 of my personal Top 3 Best looking Jet Planes.
The Tomcat is also a great choice!
But, for the sake of diversity and also because it's my very favourite jet of all, i must choose the F-4E Phantom II...
It may appear an unoriginal choice but, since so many of you already choosed the F-104, i decided for go for my other favourite jet :D

2 beauties in 1 shot...Astonishing
Fun fact: the 3 sunset images you posted Mike are the same ones i have used on a school project and, in my opinion, amongst those rare photos involving a plane that actually makes me feel emotional, different from the common beauty present in many other photos.

I always had a soft spot for the Lightning. The British kind:

Oh yes, the Lightning. A beauty of it's own. Pilots plane, brute force, raw power.

im surprised there isnt one in BAT as it seems(from what little i know about it) to be both a big part of British air power and somewhat of an icon
