:D   Sorry for my intrusion .. you are doing a fantastic job, which I really appreciate! The love and passion that is supporting you in this titanic work is evident! I only ask you for a small intervention on a detail that in my vision, perhaps excessively scrupulous, creates an aesthetic discomfort for me. Your model is a bright example of perfectionism in detail, with one exception, which however immediately catches the eye, THE MUDGUARDS ( Splashboards) ! Please take a few more hours of your time to soften the curve of the rear ones, but especially the front ones, please remove that really unpleasant dodecagonal effect (in my eyes). Having said that, I thank you with all my heart for this magnificent work! And "ad maiora semper"!  ;)

... very promising progress here ...!  8)

Many THX for sharing ...!  ;)

Glad you like it so far Mick. 8)

Here a few shots showing text and insignia added:

Your desert request is coming closer:

The bonnet and mudguards still required yet further tweaks to add the insignia, feels like I will never finish it. o_O

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello stanislao, I know where you are coming from with this, I myself keep looking and trying to decide what if anything to do about it. ;)

The front mudguards on this vehicle have quite a complex shape at the front that I tried to replicate, in some ways I was partially
successful, however, as with all parts of the model sometimes adjustments are needed to the vertices to allow the meshes to conform
with the other parts and in that process it is very easy to loose the shape, that is why it looks a little rough. :D

Here is the whole thing made visible so you can see the overall shape, it was difficult to make and as such
will be to put right:

It was necessary to cut various bits out to allow things to conform with the cab:

Looking at it from the top you can see how the shape tucks inwards and downwards along that edge
that abuts the engine cover:

Anyway, seeing as I am currently in the process of sorting any errors with the front of the vehicle I will
take a look at this issue, it will mean making new parts, those lines you see in the image are the start
of a new construction, and we will see what we end up with, I might have to go with a more simple
shape than I have now.

There is no point trying to further adjust the existing parts, you get to the point of no return, you then
have to ask yourself whether you live with what you have or make it again, trouble is the project can
fall even further behind the more you try to make everything suit all the users and make it look really good.

I am not getting any younger you know. :)

Take care and be safe.

;D   Thanks Pete for the clarification! I imagined there were problems related to the connection of the front mudguards with the engine hood, I think if you can lower it and make the curvature more equidistant to the curvature of the wheel it would be perfect! But don't worry, if this involves a cascade of other changes, leave things as they are, the model as a whole is truly exceptional!   ;)

Hello stanislao, new mudguard, that is as good as it gets. ;)

I will map this and then clone it and consider it done, I managed my shaping again but if I start messing
anymore it will just mess things up so I will quit now and go with this shape.

Take care and be safe.

:D   Excellent intervention! From what appears the problem is solved! Thanks Pete for the consideration.  ;)

... yep, way better mudguards now ...!  8)

Our friend Stan is so hooked and enthused now, that I wouldn't be that surprised if he offered us a few skins when the truck is released ...!  :P

Hello again guys, job done for the mudguards. ;)

And into the sim:

Not perfect but it is time to move on to the lines and rivets for the Coles cab next so on I go, more madness
and mayhem to come so stay tuned. :D

Take care and be safe.

:)  I know, I'm a bale breaker ... You made thirty ... make thirty one! Make the mudguards the same thickness as the rear in a bit more thick and then, I swear, I will never intervene again! Thank you so much for this jewel and be careful and don't let go of the guard! (Within the limits of reasonableness!)  ;)     8)

... yep, in fact the mudguards only need a small edge, which makes them look thicker ...  ;)

Hello guys, the mudguards were in fact the right thickness but as Mick has pointed out they look thicker because there is a lip
extending down that makes them look much more sturdy than they actually are.

Best I can do is pull the inner faces down and out to make things look a little more like the rear ones:

I do not have the ability to replicate exactly the real thing, I could add a separate lip but in the process
of attaching it to the mudguard it could misshape the rest of the mesh so what you see above is as good
as I can provide.

You cannot really see underneath so I made it close to what the rear guards are and that will have to do. ;)

Could not do anything much today due to health issues, however, I did a couple of short periods attempting
to do the lines for the Coles cab:

I managed to find a very good photograph of the Coles logo that was face on so I grabbed a copy
and adjusted the colour and size in PSD and it looks okay I think. 8)

:D   You did exactly what I hoped for! Now the two mudguards are the same thickness and visually they are absolutely pleasant! Thanks Pete for listening to my suggestions and Mick's!    ;)
