USS Nimitz CVN-68 (2012) ver 2.00
« on: November 22, 2019, 08:23:01 AM »

Upgrade of karla's USS Nimitz CVN-68 mod, version 2.00 .

https://www.mediafire.com/file/73glgqtn6qi5iwg/USS_Nimitz_CVN68_v2_00.7z/file

karla's original topic --- https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,54211.0.html

Changes:
- Specify Nimitz's time .... March/2012
- Rebuild Radar and Armament 3D models to fit that era with bugfixes
- Fix some other visual bugs transparent from behind (not completed)
- 2x Sea Sparrow + 2x RAM + 2x Phalanx Block1B
- Add some LODs to decrease FPS damage in middle ~ long range

- Separate install-able to karla's version, different folder and different classfiles, ini-s.

Install environment is standard on B.A.T. 3.7.2 or later versions.
But single install on SASModAct 5.30 is possible in solving many mods' dependency.
- Full color / HD mod
- Engine mod v2.8.16w or later
- Ship Extensions v2.22.1 or later
- French Carrier Clemenceau class v1.31 or later
( ... and something more if I forget ... )

Sample QMB Hawaii with Nimitz 2012 (not QMBpro, using USS Los-Angels and Essex SCB-125)

Hi Western
Thank you very much for your work.
I have a question, should the original version of Nimitz be installed separately from yours?

Hi.

Not should.
My version works without karla's version.

But about mission compatibility or some other reason in each players' environments, they are out of my idea.

WOW western! I needed good news this week.
Question: although the SAM work perfectly, do the CIWS work as well? I mean the Phalanx Block1B shoots at enemy planes?
I know it may be a stupid question but in the Nimitz present in BAT it shoots missiles no problem but the CIWS are somewhat "blind" or with invisible+inaccurate bursts

Phalanx family for sea vessels are loaded all AP shells , No Tracers.
They follow and amend the target by self radar, not by visual.

When these muzzle flashes are seen, the Phalanx is firing.
