v1.7 for B.A.T. v3.8.5

CREDITS

Special thanks to all the B.A.T. Team and all the modders who, in all these years, gave us so much new content for this beautiful
game. My most sincere thank you to all of you, you guys did an amazing job over the years.

Big thank you also to Danperin, not only for the immense support he gave me during the preparation of this project but also for
making one of my dreams come true. I can't thank you enough for "Smoke II" and "Snoopy Sniper" skins Danperin.
This release is also dedicated to you.

Another big thank you to the map-maker who made this project possible: Dixiecapt - South Vietnam 1968

And now for the skins. The skins played a key role in making my missions.
Major thank you to: Danperin, vampire_pilot, MADMICK71, Texx, dona, mm, vpmedia, ecf111, OC-Tiger, Batbomb,
_Harpia_Mafra55_, wasted, warwagon41, irisheyes, Killer Ghost, MAX-theHitman.

I did some modifications on Texx MiG-21PFM and mm F-104C skins to have some blanks. All credits for the original skins to them.

Thanks also to ecf111 for the mission concept behind the requested mission "Vigilantes"!
Thanks also to dsawan for the mission concept behind the requested mission "Iron Hand"!
Thanks also to M4rdok2 for the mission concept behind the requested mission "The Anthill"!
Thanks also to M4rdok2 for the mission concept behind the requested mission "Skoshi Tigers"!

PLEASE, if you see your skin or perhaps one you know who belongs to, and it's not in the credits list, contact me via PM on SAS forum
and i'll fix immidiately the credits list. I did a long search to find all the names of the authors but some skins are without the author
name, some are unretrivable and some have been in my game for so long i forgot who made them.
So please, if you see one of your personal skin or one you know who made it, CONTACT ME TO POINT WHICH SKIN BELOGS TO WHO.

And in the end, THANK YOU to all SAS and community.

Hello everyone, this is my very first mission pack available for public use. I did over 100 FMB mission in my Il-2 journey and i always wondered if one day i could publish some missions to let everybody see my works. The day has come.
This mission pack is a long-delayed work of mine, originally planned for BAT v3.5 Musketeer but due to personal issues and continuos delays i was unable to continue my work at a good pace.

This mission pack is SEMI-FICTIONAL, let me explain what i mean:
The missions are all based on real life operations during the Vietnam era, with historical research behind them, and some directly take part in the most famous battles of this war, like Hue assault or the siege of Khe Sanh.
My concept in this Mission Pack is to have historical events fused with more generic or "routine" missions in the Vietnam scenario. All units, vehicles, ships, etc are my interpretation of some of the real operations during 65-73. Instead of researching each and every detail for each mission, i just made a fun, enough historical, challenging mix of various missions spanning between several armies and mission objectives. Some may argue that it's a childrens arcade, and in some ways they are right, but i think that a bit of fictional togheter with some historical events/units creates an engaging environment for the casual week-end player to the veteran ace too.

MAIN FEATURES:

- 60 engaging missions spanning between the period 1965 to 1973;
- 40 Multiplayer missions to fly in joint operations of up to 6 pilots;
- Breathtaking dogfights, intense CAS strikes and much more;
- 6 Air Forces present: U.S.N., U.S.M.C., U.S.A.F., R.A.A.F, R.V.A.F. and V.P.A.F.;
- 45 different planes available; from the classic F-4 Phantom to the nimble MiG-17. From the fast F-104 to the massive B-52.
- Challenging enemys, deadly AAA, SAM positions. You better watch your 6!
- Custom targets and attention to details;
- 60 Walkthrough readmes;
- 11 different mission types; from standard Air superiority and Close Air Support to specialized missions like Search & Rescue and Armed Patrol.

Mission pack additional info:

Mission lenght: the missions vary depending on the objective. My missions last an average of 30 minutes but there are of course exceptions. Some may last little more than 10 minutes while others are way in the 40 minutes or even 1 hour (from take-off to landing). I tried to create short missions that would be fun but that do not require ages to get to the target. In the majority of the missions there will be some "travel time" between take-off and AO, so you can admire your plane or plan your strategy.

Multiplayer missions: 40 missions have been converted to Multiplayer usage; all the missions have been converted from their original singleplayer variant but slightly modified to work in the Dogfight mode with slots for up to 6 players. Enjoy flying in group and achieve the mission tasks in a cooperative scenario without worrying about unexpected mistakes or mishaps. Choose your starting point, your favourite aircraft, your loadout, your strategy and complete the missions together!

Walkthrough readmes: i made a readme for each mission with all the info you might need when playing. As the name says, if you have some questions about a section of a particular mission you might want to read them first since i spent a lot of time doing them.

Suggested auxiliary mods: there are a few auxiliary mods i have installed in my game that are not mandatory, but strongly suggested to enjoy the best experience possible when flying. Each mod is listed in the "Installation" readme inside the Pack.

Installing everything: there are 3 readmes present in the Pack. The aforementioned called "Installation" with all information regarding the correct installation of Missions, Skins and the suggested auxiliary mods (please read carefully), one containing all the credits and another one with some indications regarding multiplayer compatibility.

I already have plans for v1.8 and your feedback is crucial in deciding what to do next. You can either write your opinion in the comments or via PM reporting any bug you may find and your opinion of my work.
I can also include some mission based on your requests, like "MiG-17 vs F-4 bombing Chu Lai airbase!" or "more missions with the F-105 please!". I am very happy if you send me your requests for future missions, i will build a mission with your specifications and include all your ideas and names in the next patch!

Thank you all for your kind words! I'm really happy that you like my project  :)
I'm an amateur mission maker and i always have new ideas for possible scenarios. For now i will focus on this one and in the future maybe something else...Afghanistan? Korea?
I uploaded an improved v1.4.1 version with some bugs resolved. Be sure to always download the latest version  ;)

Thanks again for all the support, it's really nice to see all this support ]thumright[
