Here is Kuma from HSFX7.0.3

Surely not a perfect match , but not a terrible one either.

Yep, I never said it was terrible (alas, I had this ship installed in my old VP mod and also comes with BAT nowadays). It helped me a lot on certain missions - and it was sunk a bunch of times too. It is really a great target  :D .

I just wanted to make a suggestion to see if it's possible to develop a better model, and give our venerable warrior a worthy replacement.

Heavy Cruiser Atago - Imported from WoWS

Need to resolve the light shading on the main turrets and directors, which have not imported correctly.
Probably will not take long. Then I can start on activating the guns.

Wow!!! The Yahagi (or Agano-class, whatever) would be a awesome addition to our fleet.

In my opinion, I think that types of vessels (like light cruisers, destroyers and DE) are more useful in making war scenarios, because they were the truly workhorses of the belligerent navies.

I only half agree. Light vessels are generally more useful. After all, there were many more of them in real life. However if you are recreating a fleet formation for a historical scenario the major ships need to be visually authentic, whereas the substitution of near matches for the escort vessels does not greatly affect the overall appearance. There are still a few major vessels missing.
