one little question are the TGA's 8 bit or 24 bit ?
cannot find a program that will save my tga as 8 bit. any help please ?, I have been doing my own but they are not showing up. the lowest I can save them in Infview & paint .net is 24bit.TGA.

It turns out 24 bits. You probably placed them incorrectly.

Hey there Despereaux, thanks for that, I do have em in the right place though. I am close checking the tga's i changed to see if I "went over the lines" as they say in stretching out my pics to fit the canvas size. infview and paint dot net are great and paint.net is good for keeping layers right. some times the tga's are 8 bit. other times they turn up 24 bit. depends which version of the game I am running . My paint . net will give a choice of bit depth but in this instance it wouldn't let me pick an 8 bit setting, it auto went to 24 bit.
keep looking ! lol. always good to play around with stuff.

how would i go about replacing the first image with the second image?

I think the BAT screen is hard coded but i may be wrong ?
