Battleship Flak rounds
« on: March 03, 2020, 04:46:55 AM »

I’ll do more research when I get to work(this isn’t a request just a practicality question) apparently the IJN used some sort of flak round in the main guns of their battleships, from what little I read it wasn’t that effective but interesting nonetheless. Out of curiosity could it be modeled in game by just tweaking the settings of the guns or would it be more complex?
Addendum: type three San Shiki round or beehive round filled with shrapnel and incendiary mixture, fitted to 8in, 16.1in and 18.1in guns

It might be Yamato, Because of the 460mm Cannon is like a Anti-air Shell. Operation Ten-Go I guess.

I had believed that the 18” guns fired a special anti-aircraft shell that acted like a giant shotgun. That’s about all I know, but someone will know more about them.
