Sure. Glad to help.

If you can place texts over the airfields you want levelled, I'll be happy to do that.

Thank you. I'll work on it this weekend. Real life work and home life during the week has been hectic lately.
I'm really happy for your help.

Excellent work Mark, I always have loved your islands maps even though I rarely venture into the Pacific. 8)

Looking forward to the release.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

hey guys, I just remembered that I had already flattened some airfields in my update to this map...
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,30729.msg624117.html#msg624117

Perhaps you can use that updated Map_H to solve the problems?

btw, Just found this image and it gives me ideas for missions...

Some good photos of airfields and installations starts on about page 233.

I downloaded all the available photos of 42 airfields of the Kanto airfields in the above link:

Iwo July 1945. After a few months and rain, green has returned to the island. The craters are still visible but also have begun to green. Concrete and marsden matting runways are in place.
Maybe not historical but I hope you all like it.

Lookin' good.  But is Iwo Jima at full scale size?  Suribachi looks so small.

Not sure. I'm just working with what we have. I wonder if we can enlarge it and make it a new static object.

If it's not full scale then it would be easier to copy the island from the map_H of the Iwo Jima map and paste it on to the map_H of the Kanto map.

bombs, lmk if you still need me to flatten those airfields?

I took a shot at it on Friday and could flatten 8 of the 10. The other 2 were so low that I couldn't mark them successfully on the map_h by pitting around the airfield. The pits are too shallow to recognize on the map_h. And now the 2 airfields that I couldn't fix are wrecked by the pitting.

So I will have to re-do the task from scratch.

That Iwo island ad Suribachi is exactly the same as on all other Iwo maps for all I saw. I would suggest not causing a diversion in this and retain the "standard" Iwo Jima setup on all maps that use the Island.
