ah thanks! i just see that yours also has only 2GB of memory, just like mine; need to see how to get that Normandy campaign to run properly :D
it looks great, in fact it got me interested when I saw it offers the Spit V and the Albacore amongst the flyable planes, some of the oddities of the British aircraft that participated in the invasion...

Thank you. That was my goal.  :)

Personally, I like to include some unusual (but historical) aircraft in my campaigns. They are nice to fly, true. Also, if "Squadron density" is not "Full" DCG is more likely to choose AI squadrons from the top of the list and less likely from the bottom of the list. So I place most used planes on the top and less used planes on the bottom: let's say you are flying this campaign as a Luftwaffe pilot - it is almost 100 % certain to encounter Spit XIV several times in the air and you may encounter Spit VB in the air, but it is highly unlikely to see them frequently. And yes, No. 504 Sqn RAF actually used some Spit VB's during the invasion, although they were mostly equipped with Spit IX's.

Talking about Albacores... noticed an error there. IRL Albacores were used by No. 415 Sqn RCAF, not No. 415 Sqn RAAF. And, AFAIK, there has never been No. 415 Sqn RAAF. However, that squadron seems to exist in BAT

Hey Shakaali, sorry to post in a relatively inactive thread - want to thank you for all your BAT compatible DCG campaigns. However, I'm having trouble with this one. Just want to make sure it is not self-inflicted; I've tried twice now and the first mission either has our squadron on the airfield and exploding as we spawn on top of one another or spawning in the middle of the channel and instantly dying.

Anything in my settings perhaps? Or should I try reinstalling DCG and starting from a fresh backup of my DGEN folder?

Settings/Options activated are:

Active Front
Air Starts
Delayed Start Times
Fixed Start Dates/Squadrons
Island Palm Trees
Link Maximums to Flights/Squadrons
Massed Bombers
No user loadout
On-line briefing
Paratroopers and AI Chutes
Primary Objectives
Random Nose Art
Ships Remain Sunk
Single Map Campaign
Stats Reset on Death
Tank Downgrade
Track Plane Losses
Track On-line players

I also noticed bombers tend to smash into one another in your other campaigns (thinking Madagascar in particular, Albacores and Fulmars.) Any way to prevent this or is that just a quirk of the AI and air spawns.

Thanks again.

Hello Rinaldi. Thank you!

the first mission either has our squadron on the airfield and exploding as we spawn on top of one another or spawning in the middle of the channel and instantly dying.
Sounds like loadout bug: DCG is trying to load a weapon set that does not exist.

Log?

AFAIK that cannot be prevented.  :(

Looks like it was user-error - as usual! I started from scratch with my dgen backup and was able to fly a sortie trouble free. The bombers seem to be solved by turning off massed bombers!

Hi Shakaali I'm sorry to report this has the click through error on attempting to generate, I seem to be having this issue with all campaigns compatible with DCG 3.49 even though I'm using a clean install of DCG and a fresh download of every campaign I'm testing. I will try googling this in more depth but it seems like a bit of a rabbit hole.. If I can figure it out myself will let you know. Thanks dude

Shakaali,

As per this thread https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=45996.0 this issue seems to be caused when two instances of dgen.exe are running. It should be noted that I am not opening two instances, this is something that happens seemingly randomly. There is nothing of note in the log, no error reports. If it happens again  I will PM you the offending log see if you can make anything of it.

EDIT: Tested a few careers and all working perfectly fine on DCG 3.50, happily flying some dynamic Lancasters and my satisfaction is immeasurable! All hinged on that issue with two DCG instances running. Have tested loads and it's not happened again. Not mentioned much in the forums here or at JG1 but even if a edge case should be known about.

Maybe you didn't wait long enough? The campaign is pretty heavy. Creating the campaign and the first mission may take several minutes.
