I have built two really BIG campaigns, and now the second one too has been lifted over to BAT:

This is a semi-historical,
90-mission static campaign, starting in November 1935, with the Italian invasion of Abyssinia, followed by fighting in the Spanish Civil War, and a short stint as a mercenary pilot in China. It goes on with the Italian entry in WW2 and Battle for France in June 1940, continues first with the Conquest of Somaliland, during the early autumn of 1940, then the brief Italian participation in Battle of Britain. Then follows the War in the Balkans (the invasion of Greece and later the war against Yugoslavia), all ending in late April 1941, with Greece collapsing. After that follows participation in the air campaign against Malta and soon afterwards the fighting in North Africa. In the late summer of 1941 you are sent to the Eastern Front, as a member of the CSIR (Corpo di Spedizione Italiano in Russia), fighting with the Germans and several other Axis allies against the Soviet Union. For the finale you are back in North Africa, participating in the big battles during the summer and early autumn of 1942, which marked the high tide of Axis successes.
You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=674You start by flying the the IMAM Romeo 37 twin-seater, then switch to the nimble Fiat CR.32 and CR.42 biplanes, eventually moving on to the Fiat G.50 monoplane, the Macchi C.200 "Saetta" and finally the beautiful Macchi C.202 "Folgore". (In one mission you get to fly the Nardi FN.305.)
The man who has done most of the heavy lifting in converting the campaign to BAT is my collegue
Edc1 - once again thanks Stan!
Skins: With the campaign comes a hefty 78 skins! I always find good skins essential when building and playing campaigns. This one is no exception. So I am always thankful for the skinners, both for their excellent work and the inspiration they give. The guys behind the skins in this campaign are:
Archie, Buglord, Caldrail, Canon, FooBar, Hayate, H-K, Imme, JBunelle, Jesters_Ink, Jutocsa, Kristorf, Makabi, Mangas, Mission_Bug, Monguse, Murdoc, No457_Foxtrot, PGP, Phasmid, Segfej, Stalker, Stanislao, Stefano, Tchaika, Thirteen, Trentinco, Winger69 and (of course)
VP_Media. In this, the ultimate version of this campaign, there are no skin-hacks and no stand-in maps: all aircraft, skins and maps used are the proper historical ones!
Sources: "Courage Alone - The Italian Air Force 1940-1943" by Chris Dunning has of course been one of my prime sources (I even got the title there!). Another really important work is Christopher F. Shore's "Pictoral History of the Mediterranean Air War - Volume III: The Axis Forces 1940-45". "Italian Aces of World War 2" by Giovanni Massimello and Giorgio Apostolo, and "Fiat CR.42 Aces of World War 2" by Håkan Gustavsson and Ludivico Slongo have also given much needed information. Robert Jacksons "Air War over France 1939-40" has a lot of rare info on the Italian part of that campaign.
Larschance has also given me important info and feed-back.
Bug notice: In older versions you can have trouble taking off manually on som missions, then just switch to autopilot, and let it do the job. (There is a glitch on some old maps, due to the so called Zuti Friction Mod. In the current version (4.2) this has been fixed.
Shiny screenies will follow. Thanks for looking!
