Hello guys I started trying to make the template for these in January.



They depict exported Avro Ansons for Finland and Estonia, here is the link:

The skins depict coded and insignia only versions of the featured aircraft.



Finland purchased three aircraft in 1936 and I have photographs to cover two, one of those
AN-101 depicts the delivery scheme:




AN-102 is from around 1942 and wears the later Yellow theater bands




The Estonian Aviation Regiment purchased a single aircraft in 1946, here coded 158:





Following the German invasion this aircraft was flown into Soviet territory and is shown in the
colours thought to have been used, sadly I have no photographs of this scheme to confirm this
nor is anything known of its eventual fate.



The model is not the best canvas to paint, there are issues with stretching on the nacelles with
one covering port and starboard inner and the other both outer surfaces so this makes things
awkward, some rivets were left off and some you can still see the stretching.

The fuselage and wings required the insignia and numbers to be increased in height but reduced
in width, the ailerons also have issues with alignment, there are also some light problems in various
areas, however, once these are taken into account all is good.


I will upload my basic template later for anyone interested in making a more diverse skin set.

I realise that because of the considerable quantity of schemes available for the Anson these might only appeal to a few but this is a area of particular interest for me and I have covered types here before over the years and the Anson finally fills a space I long wanted to fix, thankfully I did not have to build the aircraft this time.

My own interest tends towards our exported aircraft and there are still many to do for the Anson so it should keep a few

I have opened up my Lysander template again with a view to trying to add some coded versions for Finland, at the time I released the mod I only did some insignia only and blanks.

Finland had some delivered in the original RAF Green and Brown with aluminium undersides and I am doing one of those at the moment, trouble is there are some serious mapping issues on my model and the early scheme has very large roundels that I might not be able to make due to the problems, I will give it a go though.
