Map of Palau +

The basic version of the updated map. New textures, default objects, not higher than version 4.10. (During the storming of the island — aerodrome facilities, hangars, buildings were destroyed, and then rebuilt in a new way. I do not want to create problems for creating missions. So empty areas are left).

Added 2 historic airfields and 2 hydrofields, rebuilt the northern part of the archipelago

The jungle, flora, color of the lagoons are not final, change them at your discretion.
Preferably with screenshots and description


Most old missions will start on a new map. But they require careful adjustment in the full editor !!!
In old miss files, add a “+” after Palau:

Forget the + sign, this is now my new stock Palau map. What an incredible improvement(110%)
over the old map. I hope that you will consider doing this to the other stock Pacific maps, all
of which are in serious need of improvement. Thanks!

During testing (constant overheating of the motors) I lowered the temperature from 25 degrees to 5. I forgot to return:

Even with varying light conditions I think the textures are pretty much "dead on", just my view on it

I mean  a slight increase in brightness. In game at noon and with clear weather to me it looks a bit too dark.

Hi lowfighter. Just about the worst conditions to view any map in il2. No map looks really good with those conditions. Try flying earlier or later, when the sun is lower in the sky. Also, I never use 'clear' weather. The best I ever use is 'hazy'. All the maps look better that way.

It also helps attenuating the faults of maps when flying with the conditions you mention, I was doing all the time in the un-modded times.  ]laughing7[Yet there are maps, perhaps not so many, which look good even at noon and with clear weather! For example some of Redko's maps. And this one is already looking very good!
