problem when installing planes into MA6.4
« on: June 08, 2020, 12:05:50 AM »

HI

Since some weeks ago i've been installing several individual aircraft MODS (only aircraft, no other ones).

Apart from some crash at 60% when simulator is loading , that i 've solved instaling the right FM or deactivating the airplane, i've had not problems.

But since 2 days ago after install some new aircraft, i have an issue with QMB.  When i selected the plane and i click on the button to go to 3D image of airplane to select skin, or define bombs delay , etc.. if i have some weapons loadout selected , the game suddently stops and returns to windows desktop.   It only happens if a have weapons loadout different from Default or i try to change it in 3D viewer.

I'm SAS Modact 6.4 for IL-2 4.13.4m

reviewing logs, what i've found is this:

Code: [Select]
32

I suspect it is caused by some aircraft i've installed, but i'm not sure. And,  If i'm right,  i don't know how find it.

Could you provide some help or some Idea about how to solve it?

Thank you very much

I suspect it is caused by some aircraft i've installed ...

You are right. Therefore I changed the title of this topic.
(QMB only shows the outcome of something that happened before.)

Please, tell us WICH aircrafts exactly you've tried to install.

Maybe they are not made for this version of the game?
Or some weapons mods are missing?
Engine mod needed?
Etc.

Also in such cases maybe its better to provide the full log..
read here how to do this with pastebin.  ;)

Usually a 60% crash is due to an "air.ini" error. But with version 4.13.4 I can't say that for sure.

Best regards,

Ok , I will try to post it.

Anyway i would clarify something that was not clear in my first post.

I'm getting this failure with all planes. Not only with some of the new installed. It happens with new ones , but also with other ones that i had succesfully installed, and even with default flyable airplanes of game

Usually a 60% crash is due to an "air.ini" error. But with version 4.13.4 I can't say that for sure.

Best regards,

Hi Gerard,  the problem is not the 60% crash. I know how to identifiy the origen for this one and apply the solution.

The 60% crash occurs when you add an air.ini entry but the planes files are missing or the ini entry is wrong. If you add the planes files but no ini entry nothing happens.

In this case the problem is probably a classfile conflict, use classcheck.exe https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,1598.0.html and in its doublon.txt look for the plane which generates these QMB errors.

Btw this could also be caused by a missing weapons pack or general incompatibility with 4.13. Most mods were made for 4.10 and 4.12, not tested in 4.13.

Hi,

I've added my log in pastebin

https://pastebin.com/H0G6PG43

To reduce space i've deleted a lot of errors like this one

Code: [Select]
Regiment load failed: null
java.io.FileNotFoundException
at com.maddox.rts.SFSInputStream.<init>(SFSInputStream.java:65)
at com.maddox.il2.ai.Regiment.<init>(Regiment.java:73)
at com.maddox.il2.ai.Regiment.<init>(Regiment.java:128)
at com.maddox.il2.ai.Regiment.loadSection(Regiment.java:203)
at com.maddox.il2.ai.Regiment.loadAll(Regiment.java:195)
at com.maddox.il2.game.Main3D.beginApp(Main3D.java:1622)
at com.maddox.il2.game.Main3D.beginApp(Main3D.java:1554)
at com.maddox.il2.game.MainWin3D.beginApp(MainWin3D.java:212)
at com.maddox.il2.game.Main.exec(Main.java:461)
at com.maddox.il2.game.GameWin3D.main(GameWin3D.java:235)
as I asume that it is not the origin of my crash

Very gratefull for your help

Pauke, Pauke !!!!

I've found the guilty.   ;)

I followed the method of  delete one by one the mods i installed just before the issue started..

delete one mod --> test --> delete another mod --> test --> delete another one --> test

The guilty one is "Bomb_Release_Rear_for_4.12_patch" , the class is ED31205CA2346688.

As soon I've deleted this one, the issue has dissapeared.  In fact I've re-installed the other mods that i had deleted and they are runing OK.

Thank you very much for your help. I've learned a lot
