you may want to keep some pressure on the brakes and rudder opposite to the direction plane wants to go, full throttle and with some prayers it will take off otherwise let AI take off and then you assume control  8)

You can not take off in this plane....
The left engine over powers the right one amd you cork screw on the ground.......

I managed a few times following the above procedure however let AI take off is easier and safer

Hello guys,

taking off in the usual manner can be done with this plane. There is one condition though... You must have a “double throttle”. The Logitec X-56 HOTAS is one of the joysticks which has such a device.
If you have such a joystick, it is possible to disconnect the two throttles so they can be used separately. Open the game and in "Controls - HOTAS Controls" you set Engine1Power to the left throttle and Engine2Power to the right. Disconnect the two throttle halves and after starting up the two engines and setting the flaps to take-off, move the left part gradually forward, without using the right throttle. The Fiat begins to role. Use minimal rudder corrections to steer the plane in the right direction. As soon as the speed builds up, gradually push the right throttle forward too. You do this till the two halves are right next to each other. This will be at about three quarters of the distance they can be pushed forward. The CR-25 will lift its tail, and this is the moment full throttle is in order, which will result in even a higher speed. A sensitive pull on the stick and... voila... the plane is airborne. A little bit of practice is needed but once you get the hang of it… piece of cake really…  Hope to be of service to you all who have difficulties to take off in this magnificent creation!

Greetings  ;)

Unfortunately I have assigned the second throttle to the pitch control  and BTW do you have an il2 profile for your X-56?

I do not have a typical IL-2 profile for my X-56 because I change the settings a lot according to the type of plane I fly. I do not understand however why you use the second throttle for pitch control... Is it not easier done with Shift + \ and Shift + '? If you could assign the second throttle for what it is meant to be a lot of problems with twin engined planes can be solved.

Pitch control works much better with a continuos control as also the elevator trim and is nice to have them near the power control  so you can have the basic flight controls. For single engine planes, the one that I use more, this is fine. On top the left handle is harder than the right one so quite difficult to get a good set up that accomodate for both.

This is a well known phenomenon when making mods - the reason is generally a problem with the characteristics of the propellor in the FM" - -reductor factor
propellor size
definition of the pitch (fixed, variable etc,,,)
