A question about Reshade.
« on: July 03, 2020, 01:27:13 PM »

Ever since I installed it, when I take a screen shot it adds a PNG pic to the main IL2 folder. I have my game set to add JPEG's to My Screen Shots folder and it does but it seems Reshade is adding PNG's to the main folder as well. How can I stop this?

Thank you.

Hey Bombs,

It's the same with me if you press F12 and I don't think there's any way to change that, it's why I use Fraps for screenshotting as at least you can set what kind of pictures you want.

As said if you want nice jpeg's then Fraps is the way to go.

All the best.

Found this to be over annoying too, all the nice things that come with Reshade.
But at Screenshots I needed Bandicam to get sth. of a decent result, though it not always works.

So I deemed Reshade crap all the way and brushed it off my scenery.
I don't tangle costy time with useless crap settings figuring out to get a Screenshot.

In Reshade nope, in IL-2 nope, in Fraps nope, in Bandicam, at least with some fiddling.

What crap is this. That's wasted efforts.

In Bandicam I select the Monitor Option. But it get's you a lot of Inter load menu shots instead
the actual Screenshots. Crap, I'm too old for this...
On screen Mode is the Monitor, the Game controller symbol is the ingame feature which doesn't have have your Reshade applied to the outpout.

Thanks guys. The game itself will put JPEG's in it's Screen Shot folder so I don't see a need to install a program to take more shots. I guess if there is not a setting in Reshade I will just have to delete the PNG's every so often to keep my main folder from filling up.

Anytime Vamp,

The issue I had originally was down to dual selection of the types of images/screenshots you took. Mine used to take double shots and make a JPEG and a NEF file, so I can relate to that. As Tobias said it takes some fiddling but you'll crack it!
