Hello,

Can someone be able to make an effect mod for ships for 4.12 mods and beyond with making explosions bigger and realistic damage to the ships when hit by bombs and torpedoes please? Atm I'm using BAT mod. I tried different effects files but it just looks too basic.

If by more realistic damage you mean changes to the 3D model (bent, missing, holed structures), that involves creating new meshes; a significant undertaking.

Adding more painted on damage to textures is a simpler affair. You could do this yourself if you have the extracted textures and a suitable graphics editing program (e.g., Photoshop, GIMP).

As far as I can tell, ship explosions are really just the effects tied to ordnance detonation. You could expand upon the blast effects of rockets and bombs, but then these new effect changes would apply to all other events of their detonation (against buildings and other vehicles.)

Currently ships' guns have effects tied to their destruction, as dedicated fire and smoke, in a range tied to gun size. This is feasible because guns have their own classes. To assign to other ship structures their own effects *may* (?) require the creation of new classes.

Note that I'm no expert on ships! I stand to be corrected on one or more points here. ;)
