planes.properties is your friend.
May need some formatting in excel to look nice and orderly though.

That's interesting. I've always consulted BAT>[#MODULE]>STD>com>maddox>il2>objects>air.ini. Indeed, each time I upgrade, I send a copy of the air.ini file in each module to Documents, and I rename these reference-only copies according to the modules.  For example, in my current Documents folder, the copy of the air.ini file for WAW is renamed BAT-WAW-ac-384. I do this partly because it's easy to find or, when necessary, to create the proper skins folder for each type. I must say, I hadn't known about the shorter ....planes.properties route.  ;D

well, depends what you want. Both lists have all teh aircraft, just different content.

air.ini has all aircraft in their java names and all the skin folder names.
planes.properties has all the "translated" display names - which may be better for what the OP wants to do: show it to someone new.

Back then when we did the CUP compatibility mod for DCG I included all three names in the generated new weapons.properties file:

Code: [Select]
################################################################################
# A6M-21 ## A6M_21 ### "Mshi  A6M2 Model 21, 1941" #### 194006--194506
################################################################################
A6M-21.default                          Default
A6M-21.1xdt                             1xDroptank
A6M-21.2x30                             2x30Kg Bombs
A6M-21.1xdt+2x30                        DT(330)+2x30Kg Bombs
A6M-21.2xType3                          2xType3 Anti Air Bombs
A6M-21.1xdt+2xType3                     DT(330)+2xType 3 AA Bombs
A6M-21.2x60                             2x60Kg Bombs
A6M-21.1x250                            1x250Kg Bomb
A6M-21.none                             Empty

They are still there in the BAT WAW weapons.properties file (entries added later with BAT are of course different).
