With original files I mean files from Disaster On The Frontiers 2.1 campaign, download from mission4today.com. Today I have changed vehicles.stationary.Smoke$Smoke18 to vehicles.stationary.Smoke$Smoke4 in file Sevastopol44Front.mis and now DGEN is able to generate a mission. vehicles.stationary.Smoke$Smoke4 is the object used in original file.

I changed the smokes recently, but forgot to beta test since it was just object replacement.

These are the only files which had wrong type of smoke:

Sevastopol44Front.mis
Myskhako43Front.mis
Kerch42Front.mis

I wanted to start a dynamic RAF campaign in Europe, but ..

Code: [Select]
= DGen 4.0.8.6 (17/04/08) =
seed: 7267046
DGen initialization. Side: gb, Rank: 0
MaxBomberSkill=1
Distance=75 km
Length=Long
AI=Normal
Missions=Normal
AirIntensity=High
GroundIntensity=High
SlowFire=20.0
PromotionRate=1.000000
Career ID: GbX
Error - can't open DGen\1939_Ardennes.DB

I absolutely do not know what to look for and where and where to put in .. :(

These campaigns were made for HSFX 7 Mira, not for VP modpack which is why you're going to have problems. I might have a solution for you though. I've adapted some of these campaigns for VPmod already so I might as well just finish the pack and upload them when I can find time. (I still have to remove imposter aircraft and replace them with historical types and some other compatibility chores)

One complication though, they require the WestFront39_45 maps by Asheshouse in order to run. I can't remember if VP has added them in an update but I had to manually install them at some point to get these campaigns to work on my machine so that might be part of the process.

Watch this space.

I'm pretty sure that mod maps will not work with stock dgen, only with Asuras modded dgen (not included). As far as I know the file '1939_Ardennes.DB' should be in EnjoyR's Dgen patch 5.2 which is made for the stock game with some limited mod support. http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=1972 Adding this dgen patch was the only major modification I did to dgen.

This explains why I have two separate files (campaignsGBX.dat and campaignBoe10) files that reference the same 1939_Ardennes.dat database. I was using the version from my previous post which was made for HSFX/Asura's Dgen and would explain the map discrepancy also.

I'm going to have to restart/restructure my entire project to be JSGME modular a'la Monty's TFM patch. This isn't the first time I've come across double usage of filenames in DGen files so it's definitely a trap for young players.

It was just some missing files. Here's a fix for that problem:
https://ulozto.net/!wlkcy376AHO4/vp-dgen-westfront-1939-1940-campaign-fix-7z

I also made an updated Dgen folder, if someone could try campaigns which did not work before and report back that would be much appreciated:

Its the entire Dgen folder you can just rename the old to -Dgen and put this in place.

@vpmedia, I was starting your "Desert Beaufighters 2" campaign in my BAT install but I had 2 hickups, first it didn´t load at all so I checked the folder and found you had misspelled the mis files, deset_** i.st.o. desert_**, second the properties files desert_**_.properties made the mission info blank, renamed them desert_**.properties and now they work! One last thing though, that I couldn´t resolve was in the first mission my AC was at 2000m engines turned off! Fortunately I had sufficient hight to be able to get the running! Sorry for dropping in on this topic but I couldn´t find the right one!)

It's for DBW and 4.10.

This should work in my modpack: https://ulozto.net/!u87ZFuJGrEOB/0-vp-desert-beau-mod-7z

Hi vpmedia,

Just wanted to stop by and say that I am loving the vpmodpack! The graphics have received such a significant upgrade that it's unrecognizable from the stock game.

I did have a quick question - is there a way to correct the blurry landscape textures that appear at distance? Up close they look stunning but they are pretty smudgy farther out and it makes navigating a little bit tricky. Many thanks in advance for your reply and I hope you are well.

Cheers!
