Thanks to all involved to make VP modpack what it is. Simply put the best combat flight sim for WWII there is. OBD-(the makers behind WOFF) are coming out with a WWII sim hopefully later this year and promises to be good. Waiting with baited breath. Don't think it will be as great as VP modpack but will wait and see what the future holds. Must remember this is payware also compared to VP modpack which is free. The amount of work invested in VP is astounding and hard to beat. Play it far more than any other combat flight sim that i have-(have quite a few). That says it all. Many thanks again!! Regards,Scott

Simple question. What are the -folders in jsgmemods used for?

That's interesting - I don't have any such folders - where did they come from?

Cheers

Not included, but we have 14 versions of that map already in the pack. :)
If you feel that you need more, you just have to add it yourself.

14 versions!, that should be plenty for me.  Thanks again vpmedia.

sorry to bother you again with my problem, but maybe you can tell me a tip to solve it: I started the RAF-Spitfire "*Fighter Normandy 41" campaign and I noticed that the in the interphone communications between pilots there is a mix of English and Russian language (i use English version of the game) ... is there a way to solve it ?

I was wondering if anyone managed to run VP Modpack with Wine under Linux. I have no problem running Il-2 with ModAct itself, but with VP Modpack I am getting a 70% crash and in the logs I see lots of Java exceptions like:

Code: [Select]
Ship: Value of [HMSWarspite]:<Mesh> not foundCan't set property

Problem in spawn: com.maddox.il2.objects.ships.ShipAshe$HMSWarspite

An obvious thought would be that the installation is faulty. However, I am able to run the exact same installation on a Windows machine (installed it on an external drive).

Thank you for your quick reply always, vpmedia. Sorry to ask another problem.  I recently a new jet aircraft, it has SAM for weapon. In playing game, it alarms for readiness to shoot SAM ok, but after shooting it does't trace a target. Do I have to install some mod for it?

I have to add that the complete campaign name generation path is:
RAF - *Channel Front Campaign for fighter pilots - France 1941: Leaning into France ... than go to the first mission. The generated campaign name is saved as *Fighter Normandy 41
At the moment I just played the first and second mission and there is that "Language" problem.

I also have another short question: all the installation process was very easy and fine, I just have one question before the last step:

VPMod_DCG_compatibility_mod_v1.0 For DCG users by Moezilla:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/82r2l2gaj3f4e5l/%23VPMod_DCG_compatibility_mod_v1.0+NEW.zip

I understand that I need it only if I will use DCG campaigns (I will); I just have to extract in the main folder as any patch ?
I mean, in the main folder I will have the directory named  #VPMod_DCG_compatibility ...." is that right ?

thank you again for your beautiful mod

It would take years to test every dgen campaign, so I only tested ~10%. I never encountered this type of language problem before. I'm pretty sure that the creator of the campaign used the wrong squadron (not british) and that's the reason for foreign speech. Needs to be investigated in detail. I also noticed that this "Channel Front Campaign for fighter pilots" has terrible mission templates, with Crimea rock objects placed near the runway and other things. Those need to be fixed too. These EnjoyR patch campaigns are a continous source of problems, if I could go back in time I would exclude them from the pack and maybe offer them as an optional expansion after some bugfixing. Btw back in april I uploaded a new dgen folder , due to the lack of feedback  I did not add it to the main downloads yet: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,50919.msg597549.html#msg597549

DCG: #VPMod_DCG_compatibility_mod_v1.0 has the wrong folder structure. There's a #SAS folder inside #VPMod_DCG_compatibility folder. Obliviously the files from the zips #SAS folder go into my modpack #SAS folder. ;)

Does anyone here fly the La-5/7 planes? I have been flying the La-5Fn and the La-7.

My question revolves about the accuracy of their flight models. They pretty easy to fly, good turning, pretty fast and accelerate quickly. Heck even the P-51 is a dead duck against the La-7.

Any opinions about this aircraft please?
