Does the DCG Compatibility mod allow you to use the new planes in this mod pack?

A question, I have noted that the artificial horizon of the P-47D-10 & 22 doesn’t work?

try deactivating the cockpit repaint and see what happens:
#SAS\COCKPIT_DBW\3do\Cockpit\P-47D-10

It's just classfiles, it does not include any campaigns for this modpack. It's probably just a bugfix. I'm not using DCG, so I can not tell you more about it.

Hi Steven197106, It looks to me like you are having issues with the Fw-190 Prototypen mod.

Spawn.get( com.maddox.il2.objects.air.FW_190V29 ): com/maddox/il2/objects/air/TA_152NEW
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/maddox/il2/objects/air/TA_152NEW

I'm just guessing that you're using the 4.09 version. If you are it needs Claymores 190 pack and DiffFM_409 needed. There is a 4.12 version here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49013.msg536088.html#msg536088

But when I tried this version it caused conflicts with some of the other 190's already in the game.

Classcheck.exe can help to identify the conflicting classfiles/mods. But its best to try the 4.12 version first.

Thanks for your answer.

When the cockpit repaint is desactivated,  artificial horizon work again.

How to correct this minor glitch ?

Now you know which folder and all you need to do is find the file or files which are causing this, it takes some but it can be done with binary exclusion. (Sorry, I got no time for bug-hunting right now.)

I'm yet to download and install VP Modpack. I read that it also includes the 3d fixes for wheels, cowlings & props by PA Jeronimo.

I'm curious if it also includes Jeronimo's cockpit fixes (I found them a "must have" in my HSFX installation a couple of years back), which are found in here:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42916.0.html

If VP Modpack doesn't include Jeronimo's cockpit fixes, and in case one wishes to try them, is there any way to make them work with VP Modpack?
For example, Jeronimo's cockpit fixes worked for HSFX, using (IIRC) a "MODS" folder with the respective individual mods folders inside. Would that apply to VP Modpack as well?

Thanks in advance for the info.  :)

I ended answering my own question by experimenting with it, now that I've downloaded and installed VP Modpack. :) (it's really good!!)

In case anyone wishes to try Jeronimo's cockpit fixes, they do seem to work fine with VP-Modpack if placed in the #SAS folder.
I did put a "!!!_" (without commas) in front of the folder name for each of these cockpit fixes, just to increase their priority.

I suggest the following cockpit fixes linked in that page:
  • Corsair & F4U New Ball´s
  • P-51 Mustang
  • F6F Hellcat (note: this one requires an adjustment, see below in the end of post *)
  • J2M & A7M2
  • Yak-1-3-7 & 9
  • MiG-3
  • F-80 (YP-80)
  • I-16
  • Gladiator & J8A
  • I-15 Chato
There are a few others cpit fixes there, but so far I didn't see a need. Will tell later if that changes.

I'm also using a cockpit fix (also by Jeronimo) for the P38J, which is linked in this other thread: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42511.msg479063.html#msg479063

The improvements are imediately noticed in-game (pleasing smoother lines, and with no impact in framerate), so much so that I would suggest to VPmedia to consider including these fixes sometime later in an update/patch. :)

Now back to further explore VP-Modpack!  8) I'm super impressed so far, awesome work! Thank you

* Gunsight of F6F Hellcats will not be correct, you have two different ways (both easy) to fix that, as per your preference:
If you wish to use the new gunsight: Go to the folder "...\#SAS\CCOCKPIT_Mk8-Gunsight_F4F4_F6F_SBD5\3do\Cockpit" and remove (or delete, but make a backup) the folders F6F-3 and F6F-5.
If you wish to use the old gunsight: Remove (or delete) the file  Pricel_D0.msh  located inside the F6F-3 and also in F6F-5 folders in the mod. It will then use old gunsight.

I installed this modpack (following the exact instructions and I double checked to do everything correct) on the PC of my neighbour Gandalf who plays on the server.

From what I've tested every mod works except the new GUI and I couldn't get the game to run widescreen at first.
I've tried modifying the conf.ini parameters and also in game resolution but couldn't get it.
His monitor is an older 1440x900 LCD one.

In the end I've installed 4.10 SAS Ecran Wide and it worked with no compatibility issues.

Really impressed about the modpack so I'm gonna use it too.
