Bat's great but it is sorely lacking in campaigns for ww2, basically it's all battle of Brittan stuff.

JonRedcorn,

You are not getting it right. You should be able to play in BAT W.A.W. (as well as in VP-Modpack) any campaign created for stock 4.12. There literally are a gazillion of  available for any WWII theater you like. These won't take advantage of the many extras that come with (VP-Modpack and) BAT and that's what the BAT Missions and Campaigns board section is for.

Go to your BAT install and rename the Dgen folder to -Dgen. This will serve as a backup in case things dot work out, you can revert to it.
Then simply copy the entire Dgen folder from vpmodpack to BAT. I've read about bugs with dgen campaign in BAT but they probably fixed those issues since then. Having the latest version of BAT is important. Also make sure that you run these campaigns in the ww2 module only.

Thanks vpmedia. I did so long ago and not all campaigns get generated right. Sometimes I get the "blue sky of death", sometimes waypoints simply don't get created, sometimes... It is a matter of trial and error until a campaign loads fine in BAT. Unfortunately, I don't know how to troubleshoot dgen campaigns. Aircraft issue? Map issue? No idea.

I am speaking specifically about dgen or dcg campaigns, can't really find any for the USAAF over europe the stock ones are just over the pacific.

I did try using the vpmodpack dgen folder in the bat install and like you said many of them just do not work. I am not familiar with the FMB and really prefer the dynamic campaigns, they lack a little detail but they give you a live battlefield to push and defend on. Playing static campaigns is a bit boring to me in my opinion.

I know about toggling the gunsight view with shif+F1 it is mapped to a button on my CH Fighter stick.

I was reporting the wrong problem/observation.   :-[

My apologies I got this problem mixed up with a different one and wasted your time replying to the previous post #2136.

I have observed that there is no reflector gun sight in the P-40B or Tomahawk IIa.   Instead there is a ring and bead gunsight and when you toggle the "gun sight view" your head gets moved to the right and lined up with the ring and bead post.

Is the missing reflector sight removed by design in the P-40B and Tomahawk IIa in the vp_modpack?
Which mod removes the reflector sight and moves the head to the right when toggling the gunsight view, because the reflector sight is in these two planes in the stock game?

There is a reflector gun sight in the Hawk 81, P-40C & Tomahawk IIb, P-40E, P-40E M105 and P-40M.

Thanks for your paitience.

My apologies again for the mistake.

You can find the P-40b cockpit with a simple file search.
Deactivate #SAS\COCKPIT_DBW\3do\Cockpit\P-40b\hier.him for old gunsight.

I had seen two different folders that had cockpits for the P-40B, one was disabled and the other enabled before I posed the initial question.  I am not familiar with your mod and I wasn't sure if the enabled one was the culprit so I didn't touch it and thought it better to ask.

I am much more familiar with the file structure and locations of files and entries in HSFX where I have added many mods.  Thank you for your help in identifying/confirming which cockpit mod in the #SAS folder that was causing the issue for me.

I will disable it now.

Got a quick question, my hotkeys for resetting my opentrack view do not work only on this install of the game, VP modpack. No matter what key I set nothing gets "out" of il2, on my bat install and stock install I can reset the view without having to alt tab, I looked through the config file and found nothing unusual or much different, do you have any idea what could be causing this? Basically no commands work for a program outside of the il2 gamewindow.

NVm figured it out, the il2 exe was run as admin while opentrack was not, thus the conflict.

Hello everybody,
this is my first time here, I installed 1946 last weekend and have been trying to get the VP modpack to work for a week now. Suffice to say that has led to a lot of frustration on my part. I finally got it to work, except for the (as I have found out) common issue of the quick mission builder not working. I've tried almost every solution I have seen around, and nothing solves my issue. Folders inside the initial main folder include one called 'Missions', should i do something in this? Also, inside the 'Missions' folder is a folder that used to be named 'Quick' that I renamed 'QuickQMBPro'

If anyone could help me that'd be much appreciated.
Thanks!

If it's a common issue that means people dont install the patch. No patch, no qmb.

Do you just place the dcg compatibility mod into the mods folder and activate with jsgme?
