Yep, Sgt_Fresh's (Douglas) video, nice way to spend my lunch breaks at work.

Yeah, I like his videos. Watch 'em all the time.

A couple of weeks ago I was looking into something myself and did a fresh VP Modpack install, it was a week or 2 after BSmooth's install problems.
My clean install has MAPS and DGen folders, the fact that you have 2 of each can only lead to no good.

I wondered about that when I noticed it. I couldn't help thinking it must be something that Linux does, if everyone doesn't have 2 of those.

I have a feeling there's no major thing wrong just folder structures need to be cleaned up, but that's my observation from all the way here in OZ.

That very well could be. I just don't have enough information to do the clean up.

If you can tell where you got the mission mentioned earlier using the Japan01 map I'll test it myself.

The one I posted the screenshot of is a stock Single mission that comes with the game. It's in the "P-51D" mission folder, and it's called "P51D Hit and Run near Chiran" when you bring it up under Single Missions, in game. I have the same one on my unmodified 4.07 install off the 1946 DVD.
I find it curious that it's ALL of the Single missions from the "US" folder that give that error message, with reference to different maps, and all the Single missions from all the other countries will load and play just fine.

Hello Tom,

don't read all of the posts here.

Short: Take B.A.T. and You'll be happy!

Since any weeks I fly B.A.T. #WAW3 and I'm thrilled.

This here wrote a B.A.T. hater (take it all or let it be...).

I was wrong and changed my mind 180 degrees.

The VP-mod was wonderful and is also one on of my hard drives, but times change very quickly here.

The only IL-2 versions I still need today are B.A.T. 4.2 and UP3 "Cassie" (for online flying with the clowns).

I wish you the best of luck if you do not want to give up your project for this mission on this map.

With best regards, from Cologne,

 ]cheers[

I have VPMod up and running well on my Linux box now.

Thanks to genXgamer for taking the time and effort to help me. I appreciate it very much.

Hello!
I would need some advice for vp modpack. My Vickers Wellington and the Whitley do not accept or activate the Squadron identification codes on any skin, nor generic nor blank. I searched the folder where Wellington is but I found only for Whitley. Is everyone have the same? Or do I have to add / change something?

Thank you!

The Whitley is a mod, the Wellington comes in the stock game.  ;)

Ok! Thank you for answer,ZtheE Studios! So, in this case, Wellington can`t be replace and reinstall  again and the problem has no solution?

Thank you!

Hi wolf44

There's all sorts of inconsistencies with markings on.

Blenheim markings on, roundels + codes.

Beaufort markings on, codes only.

Wellington markings on, nothing.

The solution I'm pretty sure is a coding one, I have mod aircraft like the Wirraway and Lysander that have roundels and/or codes when markings are turned on so there are people out there who know how to achieve this.

Hello, genXgamer ! Well,I will wait. Not long time ago,Epervier got a solution for wrong identification code of KG55. So,I don`t loose my hope ;) By the time you try his solution with Regiments.fix?

All the best!
