Hey Guys,

I was having a hard time getting 'perfect landscape' to show in Vpmod-pack. I did just a few minutes
ago manage to turn it on, BUT, after I turned on 'perfect landscape', the oceans in the game turned a
solid Black in color? Some landscapes turned black as well. Any ideas? It's probably a setting in the
config file, but which one?   o_O
Thanks!

Horrido!

Heh! I solved it! :P  I looked through these forums and found several answers including maxthehitman's new config file!
Now water looks GREAT!!! I really like the fact that Vpmod pack loads up SO fast!! Now it looks good and runs well!!
Good job on the Vpmod pack!!   ;D
========================================================================================

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Since the Crimea map got retextured the Crimea Rock (near Yalta) needs a make over too.
The repainted version blends better now with the surrounding landscape.

(Drop the 2 extracted tga files in #SAS\TEXTURES_building\3do\buildings\Crimea\Rock1)

Thanks.
The Crimea Rock does have some odd mapping by the way.
The grass texture covers about 10% of the object only and it gets repeated untill if fills up the entire area.
So the tga file needs to be made seamless otherwise it will look like my grandmother's patchwork blanket.  :D
It would have been better if the texture covered up the whole top part. So a continuation of the map texture can be created on to the outer edges of the rock texture.  ;)

Thank you for the new map, but I am a silly man.  The Crimea Rock update asks us to extract the Crimea folder into the following directory - "#SAS/STD/3do/buildings" but I do not have this folder.  I do have "#SAS\STD\TEXTURES_building\3do\buildings" which I think is what is being referred to but before I add it, I just want to confirm.

Thank you
