I never tried jets on ww2 maps in ww2 QMB missions. I only fly real world scenarios, Korea and Vietnam mostly, sometimes Falklands and Arab-Israeli conflict on the Sinai map, with other words Jetwar maps.  :)

I think that wrong landing direction or incorrect waypoint setup could cause a jet act strange in a QMB mission.
On the BB North Vietnam map the Mig-17A's I tested landed without problems.

I do not think that jets can behave differently on different maps.

Well, I tried MiG-17A on Jetwar Sinai map, and voila: plane lands well by autopilot. The hint might be in QMB waypoints on maps,  as you say.
Never met this before.

I created special QMB missions for the jets, their names start with JETWAR.
I remember a few bugs where jets were unable to hit a waypoint due to large turning circle or could not land because a mountain way in their way.
To be honest I did not do much testing or mission building with this pack, hence the BETA postfix. I have no future plans for this pack, its only purpose was to enable vpmodpack users to try jets without any hassle and in a "small" 3Gb package.

your work on Jetwar addons is greatly appreciated, my post was in no case an offence, just an attempt to clear the situation for QMB and FMB mission makers .  I tried to make a FMB mission on Crimea map wth waypoints at greater mutuial distance, and MiG-17A lands well. However, when trying Il-28 I found that all seems OK up to the last waypoint before that of landing, where Il2 engine opens automatically autopilots "korobochka". As guys at Aviaskins guess, that pattern must be set inside planes code.

Hello I am having some problems and just wanted to know if there are any fixes. To begin with it seems in the QMB that the sides for the US and the Northern Vietnamese are flipped and whenever I do a strike I am attacking a carrier force as the US. Another problem is that I tried to play I believe its called the Hot Honcho campaign and I spawned in a pink sabre in a world that only has the sky. One last thing I was just wondering on how to fly the helicopters without overheating and killing the engine? I know that might be a bit of a noob question so sorry if that is painfully simple or obvious. Thanks for this though it is really cool and interesting what you guys have done with this sim.

QMB: On the north vietnam map I fly as chinese with vietnamese skins, you can edit the mission for (Postwar)USA
Hot Honcho campaign: which mission???
Overheating: turn off overheating in the difficulty options, I fly with most fm diff. options off

This is a beta I've put together in 2-3 days hence minimal testing was done and I never really finished it.

The very first mission. It also said when I started the campaign that the il2 campaign manager changed me from major so I could fly as the lead pilot or something so maybe that did it? Idk. But thanks for the help, and wow for a 2-3 day project this is really good.

Edit: It seems like another one of the campaigns are messed up for me in a way. For some reason the Vietnam 1965 campaign has no briefings but other than that the missions work normally.

Edit 2: I did a bit of testing with Hot Honcho and it seems that I get 1 of 2 options whatever I try (changing rank, flight, position in flight, or pressing the reset button) which is either spawning in a pink sabre in the corner of the map where my camera goes into nothingness no matter what I do or I spawn on the runway with my landing gear up and everything explodes around me sometimes including myself. Really confused on why this would be happening

People always asked about flying jets in vpmodpack and the only feasible solution was to make a new module. The assembly process was 2-3 days but of course making some of the improvements took much more time.

Vietnam 1965 campaign:
Set locale=en in your conf.ini and the briefings should work or remove _en postfix from briefing names.
But there isnt much of a briefing, just some very basic info.

Hot Honcho campaign:
Exploding planes mean wrong ordnance set in the mission, in this case somehow the droptank ordnance name changed from 2x207gal to 2x207dt.
I need to retest the whole thing, I'll upload the corrections soon.
