B.A.T. Multiplayer resource thread
« on: August 08, 2020, 01:36:32 AM »

Since I was seeing a few threads about people trying to connect for B.A.T. based multiplayer groups, I thought it is about time to make a sticky topic specifically for Multiplayer resources - links to groups, Discords, servers...

While BAT is not developed for multiplayer use (in contrast to UltraPack), BAT is multiplayer capable in most conditions and from what I have seen, there are several groups out there playing on BAT together.

Post your links here in this thread and be visible.

Who are you? What time zone, what language.... whatever you think others should know about your group.
Post links to your Discord or whatever means to connecting you have.

Share your links so others can find you  :)

Enjoy BAT

Hello guys.

I'm PA_TJ17 from The Blue Patrol. In Spain.
https://www.patrulla-azul.com/forum/index.php?sid=1a6126c91f83fa42c0d62aa54964b34c.

I'm sorry for my English.

Thank you Vampire_pilot for this and thread and to the entire SAS team for the great work you do with this simulator and its different versions, especially with BAT.

Apart from flying I dedicate myself to campaigning within The Blue Patrol, I am specializing in Campaigns with Jets and the BAT "The Jet Age" Module.

We have recently finished the campaign "The Six Day War", https://www.patrulla-azul.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=187, where the pilots who have flown it, have expressed their satisfaction in fly a campaign with Jets and with BAT.

We are already developing the next campaign "The Yom Kippur War, 1973", which we will start flying in September.

Regarding the "The Six Day War" campaign, we have found several boug that has not been an impediment to flying on-line, one was not being able to open the cockpit on the ground, and another was the launch of the missiles, in some times its smoke trails were "stuck" to the wings of the planes, but as I say, we fly perfectly on-line up to 12 pilots from different squadrons from Spain, Portugal and Argentina.

We continue with this great work that you do at SAS and that you make others enjoy.

Thank you so much.

Hi everyone
I'm enry711 and i'm part of a small group of guys who plays BAT Multiplayer regularly. We are a bunch of guys that love flying together and have lots of fun in Il-2.
We are mainly Italians but we also have some guys from Russia and US regularly. In our sessions, fun and severe emotional events (also known as random take-off crashes) are common  ;D

We play JTW and WAW modules, both in Co-op and Dogfight. The mission are hosted by everyone and span all across the WWII teathers to the Cold War, Korea and Vietnam.

We meet every Sunday and Tuesday at 21:00 Central Europe time/9:00 PM GMT+2.
We also have a Discord server to talk and know each other! Everyone is welcome to join!  8)

Feel free to ask for the invite link or general info.

Hi Dimlee!
Usually we use the good old Hyperlobby to connect to each other, since it's reliable, simple and well known by everyone.
Since we don't have a stationary server with fixed IP we create private lobbies where everyone can join. If (for some reason) Hyperlobby doesn't work, the host communicates his direct IP to everyone.
To join you simply need to have Hyperlobby and enter our private lobby. Done! The host communicates the module to select and asks the participants if they want something particular.
By doing this it's very easy to join, select a mission and play several games in a row.  :)

Regarding Discord (if you are interested), is a well known program to talk with others while in-game. You can either download it or simply use it from your browser.
We will send you an invite to join our server and done.

I am a team member and builder for Koi's semi-historical, re-enactment squadron II/JG11 above.
I specialize in Jet era campaigns. We have gone thru eth evolution of Korea [although we had some conflicts with the F-84 2 years ago when we did it] Flying Mig-15/Panthers/A-1/Meteors/F-86.
.
We then went to the Taiwan Straits Crisis and cut our teeth on Aim-9's until they were second nature.

We are now flying Pakistani against India in  1965 war and will morph into the 1971 war as Indian pilots.

BAT offers a really good mix of fairly historical planes for this campaign which I have designed as inter-active , ie what you destroy , stays destroyed and plane loss counts against your inventory. A lot of manual work, but worth it for the comradeship.
The only plane that gave us trouble, regretfully, was the 104. So we used the Mirage. We used the AMX as the GNAT, looks lie the new update has a real GNAT for us to try out rather than the stand-in - The AMA did have some Glitches.
Not only have we become proficient in A/A missilery but SA-2 SAM's and Strela are incorporated.
Some missions leave me in a sweat!

Koi and I do extensive Pre-Briefs via email with the team including photo recon pictures in some cases. After Action Reports are sent out after game night. They too, might have visual aids.

My next project is VietNam. I have over 100 missions built over the years awaiting our entry into this phase. One with which I am intimately familiar.
It is organized in mini campaigns.

USN carrier based - if I can get 3.8.5 carrier launch fix to work.

USAF fighter and bomber
South Vietnamese AF, and US "advisors"
USMC ground based

=S= G'day all, I am so very happy BAT is being used for multiplayer like HSFX BAT is ideal and can offer loads of great different area scenarios and hosting & joining without too much hassle, as the format to have the latest BAT updates has been a major key to ease of use.The fantastic work by the guys at SAS and affiliates has made IL2 1946 the gold standard for any combat flight sim on the planet I reckon which still continues to get better.
looking forward to sticking my big ugly melon in and have a BATTY fly time when I can.
keep it alive and tail winds for all. I have missed multiplayer heaps.
cheers

Since the release of UQMB for BAT Red Core I am wondering if anybody is using Red Core for multi player dogfights, and how successful they have been. If you are not familiar with Uber Demons utility it can be used to populate a map with a multitude of Static and moving objects with a few button clicks, and can also generate timed waves of AI opponents. Overall it can generate a moving dogfight mission in which you can swap sides, change bases, side, aircraft etc during an on going scenario which will last as long as you like, this is enormous fun solo offline, or better with a squad online. Check out the various threads about UQMB on the forum for more detail.
