MISSILE TRAILS
« on: August 13, 2020, 09:31:41 AM »

We, too, have experienced our A/A missiles appearing to have "Hung Fire' .  But not when looking at our own plane but of those of others and the AI.
I guess it is a small thing when this game was not designed to fly coop jets!

But nice to hear that observation and that it happens to others and is not just our concern because of some setup  or something.

So a question. To those who do JTW

I have been attempting to develop full "Alpha Strikes' in VN. And am trying to find a work-around  for the Shrike Anti-Radiation missile to act a "Weasels" knocking out SAM sites  clearing the way for the Strike Package.
My best so far is the A-7 with an anti-ship cruise missile , putting a ship target in the SAM battery for the missile to home on. But is a "ground hugger" and mountains get in the way.
The other is any plane with an AGM-65. It has a shorter stand-off range and homes in on whet IT wants to, so still not good.

Anybody found anythig better? SAM's around Haiphong are pesky.

Greetings

"We, too, have experienced our A/A missiles appearing to have "Hung Fire' ."

Same here - we found that if the plane showing that effect has no missiles left and the pilot flying hits the "fire missile" key, the effect usually disappears from other pilots view.
