These upgrades are fantastic, but what does everyone think about the flight model? Seems way too sensitive to me (BAT) - it climbs like a jet, and to me, at least, seems pretty hard to control. Surely should be steady as a trainer. Opinions?

That FM dates back to the ages of the old Franken-Stearman and is indeed the S-231 FM!  Not a particularly great choice, maybe, but I guess  that's where the Frankenplane once was derived from.

As it happens I was planning to unify the Stearman FM with that of the WACO UPF in the upcoming BAT update. Both planes are so close in basic performance.

This is what I was planning to release.

Seems pretty good to me, Andy, certainly a vast improvement. Needs 15 points of port rudder trim, and still tries to climb relatively rapidly, but nothing too drastic - some down elevator trim sorts that. For all I know the real plane might have done that. Definitely less quirky and more trainer-like.

... and slower, more within the actual figures.

Okay, that's it then

Yes, with that FM and the new visual improvements, might be on the way to being one of my favourite 'fly for fun' aircraft...
