Onwards to Stalingrad! Now for BAT!
« on: September 19, 2020, 08:02:41 AM »

Yes, thanks to my collegue Edc1, yet another of my old campaigns can now be played in BAT/WAW:

This is a semi-historical, 45-mission static campaign, portraying the action in the air during what was probably the most pivotal phase of WW2: the savage battles in the southern Soviet Union during the summer, fall and early winter of 1942. It starts with the failed Red Army offensive against Kharkov, followed by Fall Blau, the big German summer offensive in the Ukraine, followed by the climax: the epic Battle for Stalingrad, from August that year until the fateful collapse of the surrounded 6th Army in early 1943.

You can download it here: https://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=2250

You are a German fighter pilot, flying the Messerschmitt Bf 109G. (In one mission you will fly the Fieseler Fi-156 "Storch", to pick up the commander of Luftflotte 4, Generaloberst Wolfram von Richthofen the and in another one, the  final, you will try and get out of the "Kessel" manning a Heinkel He 111.) Most missions are based on real events in some way, and the action on the ground, dates, daily front lines moving etc, follows history closely.

More shiny screnies here!

Thanks for looking!  :)
