Anyone with logitech extreme 3d pro
« on: October 31, 2020, 04:23:48 AM »

Does anyone own this joystick, I bet many of you do. Does it work effectively with IL2? And if yes does anyone know how to set the controls for this joystick and recalibrate it for better experience? ;D

It is very ergonomic and looks cool. I don't know how it is now, but it used to be famous for its poor quality potentiometers, which resulted in poor control precision in the game.
As for the configuration - it is simple and intuitive. Anyone can handle it. As for the first, a cheap joystick - it can be.

I have owned a few due to the low pricing.
They work quite well when new. They wear out quickly , and end up "slewing" the aircraft
to one side or the other as the inner components wear.
My wrist did not enjoy the angle of the curve of the joystick - it produced serious wrist fatigue
and eventually ( I flew a lot) aches and pains.
If you can afford it buy a better stick - if I had had the cash , I would have , and I probably
would have had a joystick for comparable cost over time.
My MS Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro (v1) never wore out (I had it before the Logitech ) - updated technology in software
and connectors meant I couldn't get it to work with newer gear.
I still hold on to it hoping that I might one day figure out how to reactivate it.

Good luck.

I'm not a "jerker" with my stick, or a "stomper" on my rudder pedals.  I'm on my 2d Logitech over 15yrs.  She still rocks.  Prost

I had one for years and have no complaints. The only reason it broke was because I smashed it myself due to frustration over the game's AI behavior.

It is a good stick and I really liked the three I had. It was after the third one went that  I realized that what I had paid for the 3 pros would have covered most of the cost of an X52.  So, I bit the bullet and switched to an X52 instead of buying another Pro.   I have use the x52  almost every day for the last 15 years an it's still going strong.
