can confirm same problem here; originally I thought it has something to do with the name of the prs file as in VSM it is called MGunMK103s and here the call goes for a MGun_MK103s
so I renamed the prs file but still no joy, or better put, the internal sound is verrry low and outside, the gun has still no sound at all;
tried then with an 190A-9 with external MK103 gunpods and they have normal sounds....

Ah that explains the anomalies....
Found it at aviaskins and will install and report back...but I guess things will work then :)
Can you tell what this weapons mod changes?

Update 4.0 is out with Fix MK103

I'm not sure, but I certainly think it was this.

update from my side: I have tried the weapons mod, Vasya has suggested; it needs some adaption to work in BAT (some potentially conflicting classfiles) but if you put that one in, the Ta-152s also work; for the time being, I will try this weapons mod and see if there are any bad results or problems in BAT arising from that;
yours is surely the less obtrusive fix and the better solution for people who do not want to fiddle with the internals of BAT...

The Ta-152 mod, which I suggested, is based on another weapon mod, which I mentioned in my post on aviaskins.
This mod changes the characteristics of the main types of small arms of virtual planes.
It works well in patches 4.10-4.14.
The sounds that I selected by sound and volume are located in the mod folder, they need to be placed in their proper place in the root of the game.

Mr. Tobias could just take the necessary files and sounds and suggest for the users of "his" Ta-152 mod.
I also suggested classes of weapons in open form,
so that you could see what I changed in weapons for the Ta-152. Also in the Java files there are lines that are written for the sounds of shooting.
I don't have the BAT assemblies, but I'm sure that my weapon mod in this assembly will work well.

I am going for a try of your mod Vasya and I have implemented it in my modded BAT already;
so far, no problems with either the TA-152 or some other birds, using those modded weapons in my install...

I'm getting confused, as we have weapon classes in Ta152H Mod already?
When we put big Garmaty before the Ta we have doubled classes?

I tested the Ta152 v.5.0 with the proposed 3 Fixes, 1. H-1, 2. Garmaty Fix and 3. Samples.
Mod is running fine.

The original class mod did not include weapons.
I gave weapons separately and indicated that this weapon is an addition / correction to my weapon mod  !!!!000_A_NEW_GARMATY_4.12.2++.
Therefore, the confusion.
To fix the weapons, you could simply add the necessary prs files and sounds and put them in a separate folder.
If you install my full weapon mod, then the weapon classes from the Ta-152 mod must be removed.
It is advisable to keep the weapon classes in a separate folder, and not in the folder with the aircraft mod.
